Spent a quarter of yesterday circumnavigating America’s Mountain. I’ve done a few variations of this over the last couple years.

I was in the same boat with the 36. It has the ACS3 and a Push tuned RC2 damper. I decided to just replace the seals myself since I already had the tools and wanted to try the SKF green seals. I couldn't find Fox 20wt Gold though so i'm going to use Maxima 10wt for the lowers.

Only reason I'm sending in the fork is because I'm sending in the shock. That and it needs a full rebuild of the damper and bottom out bumper as well. I know Push will do an amazing job too.
I've used the green seals before, they're fine. Didn't notice much change in any way though. But it might be worth asking a shotpor two for the Gold. I'm not sure, but I have heard from a few that the Gold is needed for some of the seals in the damper. Even shops who regularly use Maxima use Gold.
**Wait.... Did you say you have a RC2 damper in the Fox?!

yep, coming back to town. Up Old Stage to Victor - Hwy 67/24 back to Woodland Park - Rampart Range down to COS. Didn’t get the memo that Rampart was open to cars.. thought it was closed for a few more weeks :annoyed:

Nicest day of the year so far. About 10 degrees, sunny, very little wind.

Finally got the new bike out. Super nice bike. Still need a few tweaks to the fit but I was pretty damn close getting it correct right out of the stand.

Closed roads was the theme of the day. Lots of washouts and snowed in roads still.

Forecasted to get 50cm of snow in the next few days which will lead to more mud and flooding when it melts. Will be quite some time before I'll be able to get out again. Back to the trainer for the next two weeks probably.

Ha. Yep. Celsius if that is throwing you off.

It's been a brutal start to the year. But you have to enjoy the days when they come.

Forecast puts us back below freezing for the next week.

At this rate it will likely be June until I can join everyone here in posting moutain bike photos. It's going to be forever before they dry out. Last year they were alrwady hero dirt by this time but that's what a brutal drought will bring you.

Yes, the Celsius got me. I’m in Alabama so we only speak in Fahrenheit and cousins.

Yes, RC2 is one of the best dampers that Fox has ever made (the 36 is from 2015), specially with a Push tune. However, on my other Calling, I'm going to try the new 36 Factory with Grip 2.

Not sure if you mean trail side or not. I’ve been using this pump / flash can which works amazingly well and obviously can be brought with you and left in the vehicle. It can be used as a regular pump or flip the lever and it turns to a flash can pump. Pump up the can then flip the lever again it releases all the air at once and seats a tire. Watch the video within this link.

Nice! Wait until fall and you won’t be able to find it. ;)

Ooooohhh. Ha, totally forgot about the old RC2 damper (GRIP 2's daddy)! My mind went straight to the RS RC2.
You'll love the GRIP 2, best OE damper you can find IMO.

I made myself dizzy reading about different dampers when I was looking for a fork upgrade. So many reviews, opinions, etc, it’s nuts. I finally settled on the Lyrik Ultimate, never had Fox but I really like the Lyrik. It’s much better than the OE fork the bike came with (bottom end Rock Shox fork)

I usually get a long with all dampers, dont get lost in the sauce.

Grip 2, Fit 4, Charger have all been good for me.

I also apply soap and water in a spray bottle on the tire to help. My LBS will help me now and then too.
