It depends on how often and what you fill the cooler with...

Indeed... we were ALL ADHD as kids because normal boys are... by the definition of those selling behavior modification drugs. When my kids were beginning in school I remember one classroom with eighteen boys, and seventeen of them on ritalin. They replaced the paddle/corporal punishment with drugs.

:pccoffee:  Porch is starting to get crowded. Who's going to head up the expansion project? I'm in for beverage duty, and I can swing a hammer if someone points at the things I should hit -- that's about it for construction skillz.
Hmm. That is a nice looking piece. Maybe I should think about replacing my 40+ year old Sears 2 ton floor jack; I rebuilt it because it was leaking, but it still leaks. Since I got the lift I don't use it much at all. And I agree, good jack stands are essential. You're literally trusting them with your life.

I'm trying to plan a driving trip to Texas to visit my son and his family. I keep running into inescapable reasons I can't go. First it was Easter, then they had stuff happening on their end, and then I got a jury duty summons! It's like the planets are aligning against me or something. :annoyed:

A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals! Well, with the surprise FP Insert install, I didn't do much else, so it gets done today. They called about doing just the chimney insert Friday night, and I said sure. Then, they brought all my stuff on their trailer, and said they might. Finally, they just did it - so no waiting for the June 12 date! Anyway, that's done. I waited since November for this one - but know what the built date was on the unit? Of course, November.....
Another windy day coming for some gardening, pond filter cleaning, and field fence trim. I can't be sure if it's "you know you're getting older when" you can't remember the weather being this windy in Spring, or it's really more windy. Since the Weather Service has now issued 21 Red Flag Warnings for 2022, opposed to 4 all last year; maybe it's not me!

I am 60 + today, so this must be the current place for me to be. The Taco is only a couple weeks old, but I am liking it so far. Some mods are in the works, pics to follow.

Unfortunately no, they hardly give those out anymore. I hadn’t bought anything in a while from HF so they sent me a rare “we miss you” one time use 25% off coupon via email as an enticement and it worked lol. I suggest subscribing to their mailing list if you haven’t, 10-15% coupons frequently and sometimes sales.

Oh, how wonderful. Another picture of a tacoma. I probably haven't seen one for at least twenty seconds and was starting to miss them.

Fill the damn cooler... and don't sit in Mike's chair.

Speaking of the cooler... I'm not a beer guy. ( OH, the SHAME )

I like shots of tequila, and I like Margaritas. Mike's Hard Lemonade made a really great Margarita in a bottle for about twenty minutes a couple of summers ago... and apparently it never took off. But it tasted like a real Margarita, unlike any other corruption I've ever tried from other companies. Yes, of course they discontinued it because not enough people bought it in the twenty minutes they made it. Here in Utah we have to put up with some very odd rules. Any drink with more alcohol than beer has to be sold through a state liquor store, and the state designates what each store gets and none have everything so there is no consistency. Every time I buy some kind of bottled/canned Margarita it tastes like crap and the only way you can get them is in a sixpack or case... so to taste something is fairly expensive.
I dearly wish Mike's would try again. They had a really good product and never gave it a chance.

Right now we are visiting friends in Dammeron Valley Utah. They do not buy booze from the state liquor stores. They drive down to Mesquite Nevada and load up. Cheaper and way better selection. Yes I know it’s illegal but half of southern Utah does so. I use to love tequila but after one night of excess years ago it no longer passes these lips. Most everyone I know has a “tequila story”.

Move yer butt about 2 feet, I still hold a contractors license though the last time I re-built a deck was November last year. 2 stories up on a slope, wrap around, hinky but got that and the rest of the house up to snuff just in time to hit the market when it was hot.

    Morning/afternoon all

Almost forgot there are still states where wet counties exist, anyone know if they finally did away with Blue laws back east?

Any time anyone says they are headed to Oregon it gets to be a laundry list of what to pick up. No sin tax down there but the reservations sell Everclear up here.
Everyone I know has a story about Everclear and "Atomic Cherries" o_O

Everclear 95% alcohol. I’ve heard of it but never tried it. Think I’ll continue to not try it. I had some 190 proof moonshine in my youth and have drank 151 rum but those days are long gone. An occasional beer, or glass or two of fine red wine or a glass of really good bourbon occasionally is it for me. I lost enough brain cells in my youth, can’t afford to lose many more.

We only drank a half shot on a dare, otherwise we'd get the Costco size sweet cherries, dump them in small ziplock bags, fill em' up with Everclear and throw them in the freezer. Great for concerts and camping but you had to know your cherry limit :spy:

I hope one is never too old to go four-wheeling, camping, or Tacoma praising! I turned 60 over four years ago and have noticed a big difference in so many abilities or comfort needs... I am very disappointed!
A big joy, beyond the love of my wife, is traveling in Baja California. Covid killed trips the past two years and now, with fixed income and age, I was wondering if I would ever get back to the land that so interests me!
Fellow Baja Tacoma traveler, who we call 'TW' (his initials, not Tacoma World's), invited me to ride with him a couple weeks ago to the remote and very difficult to reach mission ruins of Santa María. Three other rigs would join us (another Tacoma and two Jeeps)...
Enjoy my photo-filled trip page about 8 senior citizens going to 'Mission Impossible', in Baja! https://vivabaja.com/msm2022/

Wow! Looks like an awesome trip, great photos. Never been to Baja but I’d like to sometime. I too noticed a slow down after 60. Hold on to 60 as long as you can cause it doesn’t get an6 better at 70.

    Thanks!
Yes, I know and I have had a rich life that Baja has been such a big part of... Baja inspired me to write books, and travel articles... Baja got me onto TV shows and a film, too!
Life goes by pretty fast so be sure to make the most of it to enhance your happiness.
My last TV show appearance was on Amazon Prime making a few travel and historic comments about this very mission, The Last Mission, last year: https://vimeo.com/487608164
Just do it and have fun doing it!

I've heard of Everclear but never tried it. ( What the hell, why is my typing in Italics??? ) And I have no idea what the cherry thing is. I must have led a sheltered youth. But do you know what "Skip and Go Naked" is?
