$700-800 for UCAs is dumb and price gouging. Prove me wrong

Long ago SPC's had weld failures on the outer bushing sleeve. Like 7+ years ago and many revisions ago. Haven't heard any common issues and definitely not more than the good feedback since then for them. Even the weld failure would be easily fixed with a little gusseting or grind and weld.

yea I could also see a problem ppl putting them on thinking they are race truck arms when they aren’t and really using them like they are. They say light taco racing arms but let’s be honest anything with a ball joint really isn’t meant for extreme abuse. That being said mine have seen a share and f abuse from time to time and really haven’t batted an eye with them. I’d expect the BJ to be o. The way out by now but they still feel tight. So idk lol. Guess the one I got were made in the US factory :p

I agree. Junk. Bad design. Ball joint replacement weakens the spindle too and causes them to break and then you loose everything up front including door and fender. Rather buy new tires. (Had this issue with a pair we put on a truck in early 2020. Lasted a few months) Wore out spindle and broke up top at the ball. Took EVERYTHING with it. cv, spindle, body, etc etc.

All that overhead is totally bogus. All UCAs are built by just one person doing all the work in a shed in the backyard. Just like OP is gonna do.

On the topic of SPCs I’ve seen 2 of the new design completely bent now since they have are flat and have no gusseting.

How are you going to gusset a cast piece?

Don’t make it flat where it mates to the mounting points to begin with? Idk.

That didn't bend where you would gusset. Like to see how that happened. Looks like the wheel came to an abrupt stop at high speed unless I'm missing something.

Looks like the whole uca / spindle / lca pushed backwards - not a race truck part.

    DIY Fabricobbler.

If it is cast steel or cast aluminum, you can weld to it.

If it is cast iron, not so easy. Brazed maybe?

Odds are pretty good these are not made of cast iron.
