I call this little dude the TURTLE! My first time grinding in knife bevels, and I did it freehand Lol. My bevel was longer then I wanted so my scales ended up shorter. I’m going to be whipping out about 3-5 practice knives a week for the next few months so I can get good at hand grinding bevels.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Happens that way for me with guitars lol

Keep us posted on when you start selling knives. As I said before I would purchase if you do.

Neice is graduating this year and moving to Houston for college, she needs a new knife I think. Wanted to get her a boot knife but not sure what would work with what she wears. Thought can't go wrong with a pocket folder. Any recommendations?

The plan was to keep it around 100 150, then throw another hundo in the box.

She's got a slender build, so need to keep it on the thinner side.

But maybe I'm overthinking this... maybe a bugout or mini would fit the bill.

    Solid selection there from sandsloth.
I’d also recommend the TRM Newtron. It’s a little bit over your price range but I think it’s work it. I got my wife one and she really likes it. Last photo is compared to a mini bugout. Pardon how dirty it is, wife was using it the other day in the garden bed.

I would recommend a small quality fixed blade for an actual "Boot Knife". Folders can be a touch large to carry comfortably in a boot. Fixed blade will be more structurally sound, ready to use immediately upon unsheathing, and less detectable overall. JMTC....another option to consider
I have a 5.11 utility fixed blade made by BladeTech that is a fixture in my boot. Multi functional and quite sharp.

Screwed up on the bevels so I took it to a full flat grind. I really like it. Not bad for freehand grinding.

I can’t remember if I’ve posted this or not. This is a knife my family gave me. According to the card that came with it, the blade, guard, butt cap, and pommel are 84 layer twisted Damascus forged from 1080 and 15n20 steels. The orange insert in the guard is mokume-gane (copper and zinc). The handle is Sambar stag. The sheath is cowhide and python.

    https://youtu.be/cV2OMvuttcQ
Here’s a video of it being forged.

Do any of you know what knife Joker uses on Dark Night? There is a bunch of different answers online.

Yeah, I don't carry it. My plan is to put it in a shadow box with the note from the maker and the note from my family explaining why they gave it to me.

    Same crap everyone else got
Find an old Ipod touch, wire it for constant power in your shadow box and have the youtube video of it being made on loop 24/7 haha.
