Hope you're doing the rear main while the trans is out.

Any nibbles on the truck Shane? I had the easiest negotiating experience ever today. Guy paid exactly what I asked and was thankful for it.

POS Supercharged SMC in a truck I believe.
It’s sat for a while. Insides gunked up.
    Bleed ports plugged
    Throttle plate shaft bushings loose.
Red neck slosh plates rubbing on the floats
    Not hopeful on these things…
Spent way to much time on these than it was really worth.
But just wants it to run and go to the burnout contests I guess.
You can polish a turd only so much…

    Oh yea.
I’ve set up plenty of them.
Much easier to set up with a wide-band nowadays.

Well I really did intend to do the rear main. But it doesn't look like that's where all the grease is from. I actually believe it could be from years of leaky valve covers. I just cleaned up all the tools for the day and put everything back in the garage. I have until next weekend to decide on that seal. Putting that seal in properly requires dropping the oil pan...how much I'm not sure. ???
The pilot bearing was near froze up and crunchy, and the pressure plate fingers had a good groove worn in them, and release/throw out bearing pretty sloppy.

Who's taking bets, I say 2500 miles after clutch replacement the seal leaks :D

That be my luck! I'll try to research how much that pan has to drop down. And just study the dang thing in general. It looks like the front differential might drop down easily and give me much more room. I really regret not spraying this thing down with some super clean and power wash the crap off it.
Repair manual tells about dirty deed way to replace the seal but said there is great risk in damaging the new seal.

Heh, it sounds crazy, but typically any used truck I buy it gets a full on degreasing and pressure wash underneath shortly after purchase. Still need to do it to my 2014, but it looks like I need to repaint the front skid so I'll plan a nice warm weekend so I have a couple days to get it done.

The warmer weather today helped greatly in elevating my attitude. Just getting something done is a nice change. Even though the wind felt like a steady 35 mph all day... just try and keep our eyeballs upwind of the debris

We had rain, snow, freezing rain, and wind yesterday. I mowed this evening in a T-shirt, probably 65F.
