There’s so much more headroom now! And, according to Spiker, you can go up to 8” on the height.

My 2021 AC MT has the hill start/ auto brake feature. It works quite well.

That's interesting. I haven't ever noticed mine doing that but then again if I take my foot off the brake and it starts to roll back I just hit the brake again. Usually I am in traffic so I don't allow it to roll back like you did when testing it out. I will have to try mine when nobody is behind me and see what happens. Appreciate you testing this out for us.

Hell, I love my truck! It's not perfect but it takes me to back-country spots where I thankfully will never see a full size truck or a ridgeline!

I just have the Redline Struts. They don't open up as high as some of the others but I'm worried that, if it did, my hood would hit the garage door... and that would not be good.

Made some interior additions/changes, not sure they are all actually mods? Anyway, this photo shows the Core shifter, and a ball knob w/shift pattern. The steering wheel “T”, vents and control rings are de-chromed (door handles are hopefully in transit). You can see the reflection of the white/red map and dome lights replaced the yellowish stock pieces. The gage and radio screens are scratch free, with Protech overlays. You can see the passenger spot mirror, and the lower band of windshield tint. The grey floor mats help brighten the cab a little, and definitely have better coverage. The glove box and the console have dividers, but you can’t see them. The shifter has been the best change so far, it’s not a sports car linkage by any means, but the shorter throws and increased effort are great - the reverse gate is not going to happen unless you are trying for it.

I drove on them (literally frame on them) for two years. I like them a lot. They took away the body roll on the soft OR suspension. Basically when I added my cap, racks, constant load from some stuff I keep in a locked bin I was sagging a little. Now I’m on Eibach Pro coilovers and Deaver stage 2s and they are retained as extended bump stops. The 612-40s are supposed to have a little space and not make contact but with a LB and added weight I think they lifted the back end 1/2” when I installed. They are firmer when new if you hit a bump and make contact you will feel a rebound. That goes away after they are used for awhile, but they continue to support the 500lbs at 50% compression. Bonus I bought mine on Amazon warehouse deals for $120 :D

I work on mine at the Auto Hobby Shop on Dover AFB. I'm a little concerned about the height too as I lift it to the ceiling.

It's probably got the clearance but I don't wanna chance it.

Fr pass door handle replace, Tyger step rails and soft bed cover, DDSS3 fogs, TRD skid, OR front tow hook, SokieTech hood struts, fr seat covers (neoprene), metal oil filter housing, magnetic oil plug, Cyclone under hood lights, Blue Sea Systems 5025 Fuse Block ST Blade 6 Circuit with Ground and Cover, Blue Sea Systems 60A DC Panel Mount circuit breaker.
I have an ‘18 TRD Sport, automatic. Driver’s door has the proximity sensor that opens when I grab the door handle. I too open the pass door for my bride and lack of that feature on her side was a bummer. A guy on here changed his pass door handle to have the prox sensor. Turns out it’s the same as drivers side rotated 180 and he posted all the details about connectors and cabling including where to tap the “brain”.

    EDIT: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/passenger-door-smart-key-system.545524/

All that said, wondering if you can add the keyed portion of the door handle to the pass side for those not having the prox feature.

Hmm, maybe. Would be a useful nugget of knowledge for the TW Hive-Mind.

Also... you lucky bastards with your keyless entry and keyless start. I still wouldn't trade my MT for it though. Rowing my own gears is more fun than not having keyless start is annoying. I'll just keep venting about it until the bean counters at Toyota hear me and add the option... or more likely kill the MT entirely.

I understand the safety concerns of not having the keyless start, which you think they would be able to engineer it so you could only use it with the brake and clutch engaged while in neutral maybe. But the keyless entry should be there on any TRD model regardless of transmission type.

Sweet! I have the same setup, except for the cat wings. Do you just drill the holes on the side of the transmission skid? TIA

Totally agree with the second comment. To the first, there's a lot of manual vehicles that have push button start. The only difference is that clutch start cancel button. Frankly I'd happily give up CSC for keyless start. Unfortunately it isn't a mod that can be added without doing some shady shit to the wiring of the truck with third party hardware with questionable quality.

White Knuckle offroad sliders. They said 6-8 weeks but it was only 5!! It's great to support a small So Cal based business.

    ARB recovery point
1 of the nut/bolt combinations did not thread properly. Contacted ARB and had replacements within 2-3 days. This thing is super beefy and pricy but I view it as a buy once cry once kind of an item.

The transmission skid comes with the pre-drilled holes now that align with the wings.
