How long did you have to wait for your factory 2022 order/request/whatever it is called?

wow, why does anyone need a service contract on a Tacoma? If you need one go here YAA Extended Warranty - YAA (joinyaa.com) or at least show your dealer. 6k over msrp when that was negotiated to $43k minimum pre pandemic? Run, Run fast.

a 10 year/100k mile $100 deductible is $1300 for a Tacoma .

 

Think it’s worth it for a tacoma? They’re pretty damn reliable

I wasn't thinking about this at the time but if it was a week 12 build its probably sitting in a yard somewhere, or a ship. it possible your dealer sent the old vin. find out your dealer number from the first link and then check the spreadsheet and see if one of the trucks match yours, if so its a really good chance its your truck and you can get the real vin there.

service contracts and all warranties are scams. There is so much fine print in those agreements that if anything major comes up they can always get out of it. Don't waste your money

 

Interesting. So, my dealer Ron Tonkin 36100 doesn’t have my build yet Toyota of Portland does (36097). Funny, they were very vague initially but mentioned a “trade allocation”. I wonder if that’s what’s up.

 

call the other dealer directly and see if you can get a better deal. don't tell them the situation, just say you saw that truck might be available and see what they say.

 

To add to my confusion, the spec sheet is different than what Tonkin gave me. I requested no dealer accessories. I wonder if this wasn’t the build Tonkin was trying to trade for. They did push back my delivery date to May 15th originally from late April.

Add these to the things I don’t think are worth paying for.

 

My “week 12” build is scheduled to be built tomorrow. I think most week 12 and 13 builds were delayed a couple weeks.

 

This might be what’s up and thus the delay from my dealer.

 

yeah, sometimes you get to argue those extra charges sometimes not, unfortunately right now the dealer holds all of the cards because they know if you don't buy it today, someone else will tomorrow.

 

Yeah, it’s certainly not a buyers market. Bastards.

 

Id say if you are only getting hit with that on top of MSRP then its probably good to just go with it. its a much better deal that a lot of other people are getting
