I like this, but needs a subtitle to give it some gravitas,

perhaps- "The Dirt Taco: From Mobile Meth Lab to Righteous Rock Crawler" ?

Awesome to see you're on the forums @thedirttaco

That thing was a dumpster fire when you picked it up. Can't believe the progress you've made!

So I would like to get rid of this RC drop bracket. It’s really robbing me of ground clearance and seemed to be the only thing actually hitting while wheeling.

Since I’m not an IFS guru ( more of a solid axle dude) I need some ideas of how to get rid of this without breaking my wallet.

AFIK I will need new spindles, flip the tie rod ends( to prevent bumpsteer?) and have to figure out a way to mount the diff in its orginal location

Also I will need to rebuild the cross member that was cut.

what else and will I have too much lift for the LCAs?

Oh man I don’t know! I will give a free bump to have the crowd chime in.

I’m not up to date on RC lifts, but it would seem that if the frame isn’t cut you could go back to stock parts and get some adjustable coil-overs and heavier or lighter spring rates. There was someone on YouTube recently going over Toyotas IFS and lift differences. I know you went from 37–>35” tires right?

the frame is cut, not a big deal though because I’ll be welding in the old section.
I might just give it a go and see if there’s any issues with steering/driveability.

otherwise I’ll buy new steering knuckles and what not.

    @Epic3rdgen
has the Fabtec drop bracket as seen here.

@WarFab Armor might have some helpful commentary too.

@81Trekker has Lower Arm Pivots that you might burn in.

For sure, if you ask the question in @81Trekker 's 35" Long Travel thread you'll get super helpful answers.

You'll get a ton more helpful answers if you ask in the typical Long Travel thread too.

    GL!
