Make sure your skid plate has sides that are vertical. I must have an older version with 45 degree sides so the cat guard wont work.

I installed similar temp knob covers but discovered they were very loose in the winter time in SW Ontario.

Thanks. I just looked at a photo from when I installed the skid and I will need to drill the holes as well. I just received them about 6 weeks ago I’m guessing since it only took a few days to receive them after ordering I got one that was already on hand before they started shipping them pre-drilled.

Installed Meso Tail Lights - took 10 minutes. Easy peasy and they look great.

    COOL Stuff I can't afford . . . But I bought anyway!
Can you send some pics with the lights on in the dark and day? I'm thinking of getting these, but I already have the meso stage 2 tail conversion and its brighter than all get up and I don't want to downgrade an already really good upgrade.

I guess I just like a lot of old school functions! I like using a key to start the truck and I like shifting myself. Seems like pretty soon all of the “manual” functions will be gone…

    Brand new.
Can anyone tell me why there is no 4x4 emblem on the back of the Tacoma's just on the sides with decals? Was it something the did away with?

Maybe a new thing for 22. My 21 has the emblem, it also had the bed side off road decals.

TMK, the Off Road and Sport versions did not get the 4x4 badge on the tailgate. I'm not sure if it ended up being all years or not. I added the badge to mine.

So you do this when going somewhere not needing your key but leave the box under there all the time? Then you take out the battery so it’s the doors can’t be touched since the fob would be in proximity of the sensor?

I took the black one off the tailgate of my 2022 SR. It has no tape, but if someone sends me a stamped and addressed padded envelope, I'll put it in.

I was debating how to deal with vehicle access when I ski... I've decided to do the following:

    1. Disable the fob by holding down the lock button, and pressing the unlock button twice. (The fob will blink-blink, pause, then blink-blink again, and will not open the door.
    2. Leave the fob in the truck. Lock the truck.
    3. Take my tailgate key with me. I have this armband pass-holder pouch thing with both velco pouch and zipper pouches. I keep some cash, some ID (for apres-ski), and maybe a credit card in it. Keep the armband on my arm, under my gear. If I lose the key, then I've lost my arm, and have bigger problems.

I was considering one of those tailgate lock pouch things, but fear then a quick drop in temperature could ice it up, and I wouldn't be able to open it...
