A little something every chance we get.
:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Peoples! Well, made my Lowe's run and got what I needed, trimmed and mowed the fence line in the field, and got the pond filters cleaned up again. Called it good and made a nice reverse-sear Ribeye. Boy I love doing that! And eating it too. So, on to the repots and new herbs today.
Those brackets look lonely Tom - can't wait until Sunday.
    Welcome back, Moose.
Welcome all the newcomers, and it looks like I need to catch up with Sunday in here.

My coupon was an in-store use only, while I’ve ordered from HF online it had been over a year since I’d been in the store so maybe that was a factor.

Yes - welcome to all. Busy WE. Checked. Yep. Retirement still great!

Made and filled another raised bed. I actually calculated - the 4x8' beds take almost exactalackakly 1 cubic yard. I mix purchased top soil, well decomposed sawdust manure compost and sand. I mix in the sand first then the good stuff. Seems to work great and no those grasses don't survive.

    firstmix.jpg

I planted a healthy gooseberry plant for the first time. None of you old timers warned me those things have nasty spines!! (I was surprised, and bleeding inside my worn out gloves :angrygirl::angrygirl::rofl::thumbsup:)

Got a really nice discount nursery. "Little Ben" variety. Also bought two Lingonberry plants.

Great stock. We are getting some interesting stuff going. Honeyberries too. Go along with our blueberries. No cane or strawberries, just too easy to buy down the road.

Filling - sometimes I pull the cart by hand or with the ZT. Takes 7-8 full loads for the 4x8, 4 for the 4x4. These two now have all kinds of sprouts now.

Welcome back Rob....you had me worried there. Hope all is okay on the home front and the mountain. I don't get on much because of trying to stay out of trouble. To much crap going on out there. Just glad your back :yay:

I appreciate and respect you so much. Part of my hiatus was for those exact reasons. Then Bear started getting poorly around beginning of December. About January 8th he got to where I had to help him stand up. Sunday the 9th I couldn't prompt him to eat; he layed with his head on my leg and gave me the "WTH are we doing here man" look. We both knew it was time. My son Mitch and I took him in the next morning.
My little buddy RIPs and rides with me in spirit. I hope he's giving them a good report on me ... I might have a chance yet.

So sorry to hear about Bear. Letting them go is one of the toughest things in life we have to do. They are loyal loving family. I still grieve for all my 4 legged fur baby’s that have crossed over the rainbow bridge.

So Sorry to hear about Bear Rob. So sad when it is their time and it is losing a family member. RIP Bear. Memories are always good to have to help get past the loss.

After reading about all the adult beverages, I think we need to rethink the cooler beverages for our health...
