The Fiat Cherokee is only impressive in one category, and that's the heated accessories.

Dad had one as a rental a few winters ago. Very sloppy in the slush, intermittent starting issues, transmission never wanted to be in the right gear..... Meh

My 02 Blazer ZR2 had heated mirrors. I wish the Tacoma had heated mirrors. The wife's 2011 Rav4 has heated seats. I wish the Tacoma had heated seats.

We had a 2002 Dodge Caravan with heated wipers. I absolutely don't understand why this isn't standard by now. Not a single vehicle we've owned since then has had this feature. The F150 Lariat and above offered this as well. I've driven in many slush and ice storms wishing I had this feature back.

Because it's a silly feature that doesn't actually work all that well and heavy storms and it's just extra stuff to break.

What would make more sense is putting the wire mesh from the back windows through the edges of the windshield so you can heat it up that much faster when you hit defrost.

Especially along the bottom where the wipers did where it's not actually obstructing your view

That's exactly what my heated wipers were and that's exactly what is on the F150 Lariat.

I always called them wiper defrosters, but same difference

So it heats the bottom of the windshield where the wiper sits so they don't get stuck in the ice? It doesn't actually heat up the wiper arms themselves?

Lol I think I missed something in the translation but yeah that would make more sense to me

Yeah. It worked great! Especially since the defroster vent never reached that low. Great for slushy/icy drives or conditions. Like I said, I don't really understand why it isn't standard or can't be purchased aftermarket. It doesn't seem like it would be that much different to install off of the same relay as the rear (or in our case mirror) defrosters.

My 4Runner has wiper defrosters/heated wipers/whatever you want to call it.. And, heated seats and mirrors (not 100% sure on the mirrors, but I think so.

It should have the mirrors, those became standard across the Toyota lineup 16-18 as models were updated.
