@tacoma16 how did you and @Manfred assemble his swingout arm out of curiosity?
i think you two fabbed it but just wondering if there was a kit or something you guys used, or simply he always had it but it just broke.

The more i stare at this booty pic the more I'm itching to get it but it's not quite there. Part of me wouldn't mind a swingout to keep the gas cans outside of the bed.

Or say screw it and get the tube bumper with Hitch and slap on this fancy Grill hitch swingout for it.
    (which might be more sensible)

I ask since W4P Quoted me nearly $3500 for the 4WPFactory rear bumper and swing out system....

Its a no win situation for me.20220401_154604.jpg
It needs to visit the tint shop. Um not doing that till the weather gets a little warmer.
Gotta order a catch can and look for an intake. Research is in the infancy stages for a tune and exhaust. Might as well push the limits of the warranty right away.

It's almost as if people in the headlight design industry talk to each other

    Check build thread!
Toyota is switching to the new style keys for the Tacoma and 4Runner in 2022. Kinda interesting. Idk. I’m bored here.

They don't make them like they used to. Those keys used to handle 400kms drop from ISS and still start my Toyota to be delivered across the globe. Now they are fragile and plastic... :rain:

Toyota is usually about 10 years behind other automakers in tech right? So by 2027 we should see unlock/start with your phone in areas without cell phone coverage, as with Teslas?

I wonder if the new models going to receive fingerprint scanner in the near future like LC300 has.

Welcome to the group! On Page 1 there is a calendar where dates get posted for various events. There are always day runs and multi day trips that people put together and its open to anyone. If you're not sure just ask. Coming up on the 23rd there's a meet and greet where you can meet a lot of the group and see what everyone drives. We will help get your credit card all shiny and ready to be used:D

I cant remember what brand rear bumper @Manfred has but it already had the mounting holes for a swing-out. We basically just did a beefier copy cat on the brackets then the rest was our own design.
