Got to finally tow something (my own car) this weekend. A bit nervous at first but she did just fine!

Thanks for this thread. It’s therapeutical.

And it looked great doing it! I'm moderately anxious about towing with mine because I have zero experience towing with a MT.

It’s way easy. The biggest thing you’ll notice is that you’ll want to hold it in lower gears longer than normal.

Do you have to ride the clutch like crazy backing things in?

I like to do this sometimes just as a way of reality testing whenever someone tries to tell me they're the same thing...

I personally think that the Pro is the best looking tacoma among all the trims. I am not a big fan of off roading but I like the looking of Pro, so I went with Off-road which looks very similar to Pro without the hood scoop, it's a lot cheaper and easier to get. I heard that Pro drives better because of better suspension.

I'm a big fan of the lunar rock, and the off road is a great pick - what I wanted initially. Glad you got what you wanted. There are several differences that make it stand apart from the other trims, but for me the 1" wider stance, wheels, fog lights, and scoop are the biggest visually appealing differences for me. After renting an off road for a week, the suspension differences are noticeable, but they're absolutely fine. One of those things that wouldn't have bothered me, had I not known any different.

I like the look of the Pro too.

Of course, I have a skewp on my Sport but not the rear locking differential/rock climbing mode (I'm guessing at what it's called) and the suspension upgrade.

I won't say anything bad about people who buy Pros...heck, I coulda done it but I gave myself a purchase threshold of below $40K.

The dealership I bought my Sport is now selling same model for almost $45K.

Wait, Pro has 1" wider stance? I never heard of that. Did you mean 1" taller? I know Pro has higher suspension than other trims.

It's absolutely bonkers what any of these trucks are going for now! If I hadn't gotten a killer trade-in, I'd still be in my FJ (wouldn't be a bad thing, but it was on its last leg).

Yah, it's taller and wider because of the suspension. The wheels are also a 0 offset, subsequently.

True, if not lunar rock, if I had more budget, I would go for a black or white Pro. Classic and looking fantastic.

The Pro wheels are offset out about 1/2” more than the OR wheels so it has a bit wider stance.

I think black is one of the best looking colors for any vehicle...you have to budget in at least a few extra thousand in truck-washing gear, however!

For the longest time, all I've ever heard was how dirty the color black gets on a vehicle.

As I was selecting my Sport, when I saw that it was in my price range I said to myself, "why not black? I've never gone with that color in any vehicle I ever bought new. Plus, this time...it was My Preference.

Black truck looks nice. They pull off the bronze wheels the best.

    Great mention!

I've not looked at/considered Bronze Wheels. You just planted a seed. Cheers!

I saw a black Tacoma with some bronze rims and a little poke and I’m so jealous. Cement is boring, it’s got a lot of blue in it so it doesn’t work well with reds or yellows.
