Toyota Stalking, er...um, SPOTTING with Charlie™ (T4R Edition)!

I saw this brand new 2022 TRD Sport among the hot rods and muscle cars at a show on Saturday, and as you can see it the owner is putting it to good use; What do you think of Army Green?

Yeah, I meant electric lime Charlie. I won't hate on you for liking it; different strokes for different folks, all that jazz. I just really don't like it, and I'm bitter about not being able to get a lunar rock Pro or Off Road without being price-gouged to death.

 

Worth it. Why buy meow at that price. Seats and engine already broken in.

 

Looks like a 4Runner Limited - Nightshade Edition from all of the blackout on it. If it is indeed a 2021 Nightshade Edition, they are going for a bit less here in Colorado but still over $50,000 for a low mileage vehicle.

 

Give it six months they'll be back down at 45. Recession is on the way.

 

What ever happened to the cement gray? I honestly don’t know, just because I haven’t really kept up with the 5th Gen scene much

 

The saleswoman told me it was in fact a Nightshade; I mentioned I had a mint 2010 RC with a new frame and I could see the dollar signs in her eyes; She was cute and knew about as much about Toyotas as me, so I knew that she knew what I had. She's like "Oh yeah, let's get you out of that old truck and into a nice 4Runner or newer Tacoma. I'll take care of ya; Here's my card!"

I have good credit, but common sense would tell me that I should not buy a used 4Runner that costs more than I make in a year!

 

I've got no desire to buy a new vehicle, but buying a 3-bedroom mid-century brick rancher after a recession sounds appealing!

 

John Voight once Ubered in that 4R. He left an empty gum wrapper and a 4 star review.

That's the reason for the high ask.

Okay, I know what everybody is going to say; "That's just another boring and totally stock white SR5..."

That's true, it is; However, it's been so long since I've been to Rice's Market that I can't even remember the last time I went! I know that I haven't gone since before COVID started; We adopted Mandy in September 2018 and she died of rare congenital kidney disease in July 2019. I am pretty sure that I brought Mandy to Rice's at least once, so it has been about three years since I was last went!

So, here is a 2021 SR5 with Rice's Market and the beautiful scenery of the Solebury Township countryside as the backdrop!

2013 SR5; I am not entirely sure when they stopped using this style of wheels on the 5th Gen T4R, but I'm pretty sure I've seen T4Rs as old as 2010 with these wheels, and I believe that I might have seen a 2014 at a dealer with these wheels. After this weekend, I think I am going to stop taking pictures of all 5th Gen 4Runners that black, gray, silver, or white and not TRD PRO models; After spotting four white T4Rs at Peddler's Village in one day, I decided to take pictures of all four to show just how obnoxiously common they are. I would love to see a red, blue, or green one!
