Lunar Rock Gen III Thread

Finally putting all these racks to use.

 

I put a deposit down for a hope and a prayer on this same build minus the bed lights and tube steps back in november and another in january. As of 3 weeks ago i still had not had an allocation. I found it minus the led lights and advanced tech a state away sitting on a lot, available. so i have it now, but just chimed in to say they're not lying about this build taking foreeeeeeever. I never got it.

 

Hello fellow Lunar Rock peeps! Very psyched to join the club today.

 

Sliders and CMC done yesterday

 

Ordered in September and just picked it up! Love the colour in person, but the truck didn't arrive without a few flaws with the paint, scratches, and an issue with the clear vinyl infront of the flare on the box.

 

Picked up my DCLB (on right) today and a SR5 Trail was parked next to it. I'm surprised how much more expensive it is also especially for the lack of comparative features that the TRD Off-Road with Tech package has. Notice it doesn't even have fog lights nor the nice blacked-out LED headlights!

Anyway, let the mods begin

 

It seems that most LRs on here are Off Road models,not many Sports.Just an observation while I wait for my LR Sport to arrive.

I can finally officially join this wonderful Lunar club! I had (3) deposits at dealers within different states and never had an assigned allocation. Received a phone call on Thursday morning from a dealer I inquired with a few weeks back from a truck that was on the spreadsheet - was told it was sold and now the customer backed out asking if I was interested. It had both tech packages and the tonneau cover which I didn't want, but decided in this new car climate its best to jump on it - especially how rare the Access Cab paired with a 6 speed manual was. Borrowed my neighbor's truck, another friend's trailer and headed up Friday evening 7 hours north - & slept at a rest stop for a few hours. Saturday morning signed the papers and had the truck loaded up and rolling out of the dealer at noon. Spent $300 in fuel and averaged 12-13 MPG but the experience and paying MSRP at a dealership that treated the customers very well was well worth it. Just can't believe my dream Tacoma cab, trim, transmission and exterior color choice is in my garage now.

 

Nice looking truck. Congrats! Your Tacoma looks a lot bigger then the Chevy in this picture.

 

Yesterday I installed 265/75 Duratracs on 16x8 Method Double Standards with Eibach 2.0 Suspension. Rear shocks come in tomorrow

 

Looks great! Just learned that Eibach makes truck suspension and here thought it was only for cars...

 

Out of curiosity, I’m judging by your username that you used to own an Arctic Blue Pearl DC5?

 

I still own that car - bought brand new with 6 miles and now 257k. Will never get rid of it - best dang car I've ever owned...

 

@Articbluedc5 Nice! One of the best colors too IMO! I had an 03 Type-S that I purchased from a private seller with 45k on it. Regrettably I had to part ways with it about 2 years ago… had 230k on her and still pulled just as strong as the day I got her. I mis having that car to zip around town in (and get 30+ mpg to boot!)

 

Man Im loving seeing all the Lunar Rock deliveries!! I haven't seen another LR truck here in DFW but I have seen 2 2022 TRD OR 4 Runners and I see a lot of Rav 4s. I still wave at them cause its one bad ass color!! I ordered my 100XR with most almost all of the options and cant wait till it gets here. Hopefully before my birthday in september . Next I plan on doing some method wheels and tires but wanna get the camper installed first.

Gotta say the Eibach lift rides absolutely awesome! Way better than the stock TRD
