255 Toyos on mine, which are on the bigger size range for 255’s. Stock UCA. 16x8 0 offset wheels. TRD pro lift. No rubbing. When I got the alignment done after the lift I asked the tech for max caster while keeping camber in the green.

Actually I’ve had two tiny rubs on the fender flare plastic, both times turning and articulating the suspension to the max with a 300 lb friend in the passenger seat.

Was running OME 885s with Nitrochargers when I had to do the trimming. Never had rubbing issues on the trail with it.

Yeah that happened to me too with some KO2s. The tire shop manager said he would give me the best one as a full sized spare because he was going to recycle the others! Pretty good customer service and gave me some experience in trying to find a cheaper fifth tire for a spare in the future.

Is anyone on a 255/80r17 T4R Off-road wheel? I’m trying to get an idea if +15 offset will make me happy. Curious about stance and if there’s any rubbing issues (I’m guessing not).

as a side note. I really wish there were more AT options in this size.

I used to have those wheels. You get a little more poke than Tacoma wheels. I liked the stance, keeps everything in the wheel wells but barely.

I have 255/80R17 on some FN FX rims at 0 offset, no real issues, Toyo AT3's are the way to go.

Dropping back into this thread to say I'm enjoying this tire size very much after about 5k miles. I like the look of the 255/80/17 and I'm getting about 15mpg after my 4.10 regear with normal driving. Can probably do better if I tried.

I ordered the Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 255/80/17 this morning online from Americas Tire. They just called to let me know they only have 3 available, an cancelled my order. I'm currently on old Toyo R/Ts, I may get those again, but the Geolandars are looking good too-especially since they are lighter.

I'm just wondering if I should go Geolandars over Maxx 255/85r16's as the Maxx seem to be in stock nowhere and tirerack still shows July for my order....I do think the Maxx look a tad wider

I've only driven about 14 miles on these. I did full lock, both sides in the driveway, but that's not very telling.

    255/85/16 Yoko Geo MT3s.

Very minor suspension lift. We'll see how it goes.

Happy to see more Yoke's! They're skinny looking for sure, though the tread cross section is the same width (measured) as my old Nitto Grapplers in 265. I think it's the lack of rounded, connecting edges from the sidewall tread to the standard tread.

Looking forward to the reviews. I'll finally be getting mine back on shortly!

A month ago on 250 mile trip with a uhaul trailer I got a flat on my truck. Last year I bought a full size spare when I bought tires. I was pretty glad I did. I will always have a full size spare on any vehicle I drive.

I keep going back and forth between waiting for the 255/85r16 Cooper Maxx's and the Geolandars since they're in stock. The Maxx's look a little bit fuller...but Geolandars seem to get good reviews.

Any front shots of these two great looking trucks?
