Celestial Silver Metallic Thread

Almost a week with my 2022... Still pretty pleased after snagging one almost a week ago off allocation! Wish I could have selected options, but happy with my first Toyota and truck.

Love this color

 

Looks great with the lift, wheels and grille. I wasn’t aware that SR models don’t have the black out tape for the faux pillar look on the doors.

Tacomas look so much better in my opinion without the fender flares...

 

How did you change the color of the trd logo on the wheels?

 

Picked it up out of allocation in December for MSRP and drove it to WA from CA 4 days later. Finally took it wheeling last month.

Those look to be the gloss gunmetal which come with black lettering instead of red.

You can change the color using these, however:

TVD Vinyl Decals. He's a vendor here. I've used them personally on my matte black wheels to change them to grey/cement.

I picked up my 2022 DCSB OR yesterday. I am excited. I took it for a test drive and it only had 8 miles on it. I didn’t really want anything beyond the factory LED lights as I figure I can find better aftermarket solutions for anything that I would prefer.

Plans: lift, 33s, wheels, sliders for now. Researching options.

 

Picked up my new SR yesterday.

 

I have a 17 in Silver Sky, can't see much difference in the Celestial Silver.

 

I've seen both up close. The difference is fairly minimal, but I would say that the Celestial Silver Metallic seems a bit shinier in the light due to larger metal flake in the base. This doesn't translate very well in photos always. If you are outside in overcast skies, they all look flatter than they actually might be. In person, I was pretty impressed seeing it in the sunlight. Had I not seen it in the sunlight, I might have just gone with black or LR.

 

Celestial is sparkly in daylight. Not a fan of sparkles

 

Then you have the right year silver for you. Someone said that they theorized that Celestial Silver Metallic is the base for the new Electric Lime Pro color.

I on the other hand want it to shine as much as possible.

 

Here’s a few photos of SSM and CSM at night under fluorescent lighting. Excuse the crappy quality and one photo was taken with the wide angle camera and so my trucks grille looks weird.

 

Had mine a couple weeks now. Loving it. Waiting for the ARE bed cap (months out). So far, removed air dam and replaced oem grill with heritage model

This color is way more impressive than I was expecting… had quicksand before which I loved and didn’t really want silver at first especially since my dad has a ssm Tacoma. Silver was available and in these times we can’t be as picky. Glad I got it because This color blows ssm out of the water!!
