    I got this HU back in January and realized that my fan speed buttons on the side have never lit up like everyone else’s in this thread. Also my hazard lights don’t seem to work when the button is pressed. I have a 2012 TRD OR, non JBL. I just installed the Camera Source Rear View Camera relocation harness today and I don’t think I missed a plug.

    Has anyone else run into this issue?

    The button lights come on when headlights are on

    I would like to know how this unit is working for everybody, still on the fence about it.

    I cant seem to find any real reviews, only the op and another on YouTube who got them for free with their positive reviews.

    Any honest feed back to help me and everybody else with this large purchase decision would be greatly appreciated.

    My drama may almost be over. DHL says they are delivering the new unit March 31.
    Hopefully this one will last more than 2 months before it shits itself.

    I literally had to push them every step of the way. Only thing that got them even slightly moving was the PayPal dispute. And even then they didn’t ship my unit till the day before I could force a refund.

    Is there a complete list of features in a single location for the FW upgrade by Sergey? I saw there are more themes and unlocked features but I am not sure what all those features are. After reading through the thread, it is not clear to me if most of the more recent issues listed are with the original FW, the Sergey FW or both. I am considering this for a 2012 Basic Access Cab, non-JBL without steering wheels controls. One other question, my current cabin temperature control is via the simple knob. I noticed temperature values being displayed on some of the pictures, does this unit provide an upgrade to allow controlling to a temperature set point? Thanks in advance.

    All of the issue are with the base units software not with Sergey's firmware. Go to Sergey's FB page there is a complete list of the firmware features there. Yes, the temp control is in degrees.

    Well my Aucar tech support/warranty saga is finally over after starting it on february 12th. The new unit arrived today and so far it is in working order. Actually seems to be much better than my original as far as the software goes. Zlink/Apple wireless carplay hooked up almost right away. BT works fine. Didnt really mess with much else. AC and fan controls all work as advertised. The unit came with a external microphone that my original one did not have. I'll be messing with it more in the coming days and will update as needed.

    all stock - for now.
    Been following this thread, looking to help my teenage son to upgrade his 2010 Taco dbl cab 4x4. Just looked on Amazon and there is a VERY similar unit showing from "xtruck" "sold by odmcable"......anyone have any experience? A quick glance only shows that its 10.4" where the aucar unit is 12.1". Thanks for any/all help!

    Looks like the exact same one, even shares the same photos in the adds. I cant find a company website, aucar has one. My opinion, aucar would be easier to deal with if you had an issue
