What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I still fluid film mine. When I put the lift in I had to cut the old one out due to the hardware. But I hear that’s kinda normal. Alignment bolts were seized too. All better now.

 

My wife and I went to Mendocino for a quick vacation and the Chevron there was selling gas for

thankfully we had a full tank

 

Where the fuck is that? The moon?

 

Mendocino is on the coast hard to get to but 15 miles south and 20 miles north gas was 6 bucks a gallon and less. These bastards always take advantage. There was no one at the station just money making pumps.

That's a great first attempt. Are you going back to make improvements?

I would suggest at least two bracing bars across the width of it would pull the surface of the mesh more uniformly. You could even do something hinky and use a fiberglass landscaping rod, just attaching it using two cable or rod braces, one at each end of the span.

 

I almost feel bad for you guys in cali paying as much as you have to.... then I remember you have almost perfect weather and I live in MN where it is still in the 40s so F*%& you guys! (said out of pure jealousy)

 

Thanks for the ideas! Yes I plan on trying to perfect it a bit. I have to pull it again anyways cause I d.i.yed some brackets for a couple leds.. bent them with wrenches( didn't have a vice handy) and they're not straight so they have to be fixed too

 

Installed a Kenwood Excelon DPX794BH stereo in my 07 this past weekend. Nice to finally be able to connect my phone via bluetooth to listen to all the music I have on it. Wanted a deck with a CD player and this one fit the bill.

Damn. My dad used to have a couple of gas stations. He would make pennies on the gallon. There were much larger profit margins on a bag of chips and everything else inside. This was back in the 90's and 00'.
