Is there a description somewhere of the changes for the pro-x versus the hi-rise?

 

I can break it down:

The original version had a crossbar that was formed from 14 gauge steel. The new crossbars are heavy duty extruded aluminum, anodized black.

The powder coating system for the uprights is completely different.

The original uprights received an iron phosphate rinse to etch the base material, then they were powder coated, and then they were cooked to bake the finish on.

The new uprights are sandblasted, then sprayed with a zinc rich primer, then powder coated, then baked.

Yes they do!!

 

What bike accessories would be needed to mount the bikes on the Pro-x crossbars?

 

I use the front fork mount in the link below. KBVoodoo has t-slot nuts that fit in the rails you can use for mounting.

As for the rear, they also have a rear tire tray. However, a 6" piece of angle works the same. I'm currently just using a bungie cord and it's working well enough.
