Oooh, that's a beauty! My second car was the hand me down (grampas, dads) 66 Galaxie 500 4 door, with a 390.
Somehow, I know it was capable of excessive speeds.

This one is only a 289, it will hustle along surprisingly well for a 4200 pound car. Not bad on gas either, about 18 cruising on secondary roads.

Hi Kurt. It's going. Working 3 - 4 hrs a day, 3 days a week for April to train my (and Molly's) replacements. Molly's replacement is almost ready to quit over the one lady in the office.... don't blame her. We're going to have a discussion w/ the boss in the morning. No new meds, BP staying where it's supposed to (mostly), and need to lose weight . Hate when the doc's say "this happens when you are over 60" :annoyed: Don't like going anymore than they do!!! How's things in the great state of Texas?
Oh, yeah, more thieving *$&%(#)@ :anonymous:  :fistbump: Have a great night at work.

Evening Ken, not completely a lady of leisure, but working 3 days a couple of hours for training is  Get up when I want, go in when I want to, leave when I want to... can't beat it. Girls hanging in there - one day at a time. Have a great hump day!!! How's things up in PA?

I think the reason why I like the Suicide Doors Lincoln is the whole persona of that era. A gangster car.

It does have classy body lines.

What is your opinion on driving large classic cars, (as picture) against modern cars?

Son is doing great. He is working on his CDL Licenses so he can drive the largest trucks at work plus he needs that certification for a Team Lead position. He helps out so much around the house, it is a blessing.

    Really clean and nice looking.

Yesterday was bittersweet. I have been helping my sister on n problem with her chevy Avalanche. I never actually was able to drive the vehicle. AAA, honest auto repairs , told her she needed a new transmission. She took the vehicle to a auto transmission place upon a referral from a friend. Stupid problem easy fix. The drive selector know in 4WD low. Fix was and with add of transmission fluid, fluid low, the cost was $68. She had just sold her Maxima and her daughter was driving her second vehicle. She also is trying to by a new vehicle and getting jerked around by one of the local Toyota dealers.

I am getting ready for a cardiologist stress test tomorrow so I can have cataract surgery on Monday. Found out on Monday I needed to have a release from my cardiologist. It has been a stressful week.

Welcome back, Rob!! It was great to see your screen name again but I am so sorry to hear about Bear. Run free big guy!!!

Lynn and I are down in Orlando spending time with our son and his family and burning through some retirement funds. :D:rofl::spending: Nothing like stimulating the economy with Mickey and Minnie. :D Late nights and early mornings - but we proved that kids these days just can't hang with our generation!!

More later - off to the Magic Kingdom today.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Gals!
Doing well Miss Susan - we dodged all the storms again last night, but didn't get a drop. Looking to finish all the repotting of pool plants this week.
Mega-Frost? OH NO, those poor sprouts.
Have fun in Floriditty Mark, but be careful, those folks are getting weird!
FP Insert Installer came back with the main man yesterday, and we got it settled back inside the old FP so that the whole thing fits better, and no gap on the plate to the bricks. He'll come back again to make it level and final.
Road trip Wednesday. Haircut, few stores, recycling run....will be a nice day for a trip once the sun pokes out.

    Battle Born 100Ah Lithium battery.
Newport Vessels Trolling Motor Smart Battery Box (https://www.amazon.com/Newport-Vessels-Trolling-Battery-Center/dp/B01AE2TG7G) was overkill but does the job.
Swapped out the 12V socket for an ARB threaded 12V plug (prevents fridge power from vibrating out)
    I added a BlueSea 4363 (switch, USB, 12V Plug)
On the side of the box, I used two thin sheets of aluminum and bolted my Redark 1240D to charge the battery while driving and allow solar input.

Battle Born isn't the cheapest solution, but proven components for reliability. Battle Born will have a sale once a year, 10-year warranty on those batteries. Blems are fine (case scratch).

One of the 4x4 Off-Road Shops had a screaming deal, stacked coupons, so I could snag the Redarc 1240 at a great price (I just looked at $450 on Amazon, I paid $300 last year). 1225 (25 Amp charge) would be acceptable, but it didn't have the solar option. I like parking and camping, hence the solar option (25' of cable, park in the shade, panel in the sun, and adjust if you are around the campsite).

This powers up my Dometic DZ75 fridge/freezer and CPAP. In Hindsight, the freezer takes too much energy (handy when shopping), but extended camping uses both sides as coolers. Then again, nothing better than a dutch oven cobbler with vanilla ice cream after a long day's hike!
