Weird, we have plenty to do. Poured concrete today. In the rain. With 3 inexperienced guys. And a bunch of Karen's who kept trying to drive through.

He did. And he likes it.

After lunch last Friday or Thursday we were cold mixing Reavus Barracks. Barely any holes so there was no point in walking behind the truck. Don't know where the work ethic thing came from. Think it was when we were mulching a guard rail on Bowles. Bob (the asshole) had the blower and was blowing the mulch that was on the street up to the curb and I was shoveling it. I talked to rich for about 5 mins or so so Bob was far up enough so I wasn't directly behind him, and earlier that morning I was picking up trash off the guard rail before they mulched it and was just looking for trash on the guard rail. I didn't know to do the hill either. And another guy is two faced as fuck. We were cold mixing yesterday and instead of using the tamper he said that using the truck (yeah I know) to flatten the cold mix was better than just tamping it down. We had a sprayer of diesel but it was broke. Rich showed up later that day and said that we could use WD-40 to spray the shovels and tamper so the mix wouldn't get pulled up. Here's the kicker, guy didn't get out of the truck all morning until rich showed up and was kissing ASS after that. Whenever a supervisor shows up that's when he really starts to work and is buddy buddy with the supervisor. Once the supervisor he starts talking shit. As far as I know he's talked shit about quite a few people behind their backs

Spicy. I wouldn't worry about it honestly, people like that are unhappy with everything in life and they'll be stuck where they're at for the rest of their miserable little careers. You just do you. If you're talking to Rich, you're probably good. He outranks all those c********** anyway. (Although if they ever open up transfers, District 5 is pretty chill compared to pretty much everywhere else. And we put some seriously good numbers down too.)

Guess I could have told you about the WD-40 thing, we usually use that instead of diesel when we're cold mixing. With hot mix it's diesel all day...
I mean uh, diesel is just what we call the citrus / peanut oil mix that we use that is totally environmentally friendly. Ahem.

I was talking to Joel about that actually. He said with how short handed all the districts are right now a transfer is next to impossible. So far those are the only 2 guys that I dont trust/care for. Other than that I get along with everyone else

See and I would put both of you in my concrete crew in a heartbeat because you guys are honest. You can always learn the skills but honesty and not being a royal d bag.... That's where it's at.

Just remember to not say anything dumb if someone does piss you off on Thursday. I mean you got this but I get it

Funny part is I actually like doing asphalt. It's not that bad. But they want to have a dedicated tree crew, and if they do I'm gonna try to get on that

Worst case scenario I'll tell them to either shut the fuck up or fuck off. Or just say as little as possible to them

Oh and also when we were on Bowles while I was talking to Rich, Bob walks up, drops the blower, and took the fucking shovel out of my hands without saying a word
