Is this normal to have the tint mismatch like this? 2022. The dealership tinted just the front.

Are you sure the tint is on the front windows? That back color looks off to me.

    Oh look, another mod....
Dealerships don't know shit about tinting. They outsource it to a local vendor, and a cheap one at that. I always get my windows re-tinted after I buy a new car. The factory or dealership tint is very light & crappy.

And you live in Texas, you need MUCH darker tint. In late July and all of August, you'll need it!

The dealership said the rear windows come with privacy glass and tint. That they only tint the front. I asked if they can match it. Waiting to hear back

Find a local tint shop in your area and get it done there... you will pay half the price the dealer will charge you to get the job done as the very same place!!!

Your pic looks weird but ...
Normal. From the inside, the front windows (with or without film) will look different than the factory glass in the back.

Uhhh no, thats weird. Looks like they tried to tint it window deflector style or something.

on top of that looks like they used 2 different films between the front and back

I have window deflectors on the outside. The dealership is going to add tint to the back to match the front. The back come with privacy glass, that’s why the colors are different. So their remedy is to add the same tint from the front to the back to match color but just darker. We will see how it looks later.

The factory tint is in the glass itself and not a film like the front. I had a reputable tint shop tint my fronts to match the rear and they are almost identical. Front is a shade darker which I am fine with as I will add tint over the factory tint in the back to bring it to 5%. This looks like the tint guy they subbed out to is not the best at matching.

Were you able to get a better match somehow? I'm having the same issue from a local shop.

Different tint brands will have different color hues.

Honestly, matching the rear privacy glass is hard on any car. You can go to a professional that is a certified dealer of quality tint brand such as 3M, Llumar, XPEL, and even Suntek (budget option but not a bad film), but from personal experience it depends on the film they use.

Example, I like 3M Ceramic IR film and have used it on cars without privacy glass. I then had it installed on an SUV with privacy glass. They matched the percentage of the privacy glass with the tint for the front two windows perfectly, however, then I noticed the blue hue of the tint film compared to the privacy glass.

I found that Formula One Pinnacle series is the closest ceramic film I've seen that matches rear color. I think maybe XPEL Black series comes close but they too run slightly blueish.

Also if you see some "haze" at an angle. This is normal for ceramic film. (Though too much haze could indicate a low quality ceramic tint)

That said if you do decide to tint (or re-tint) the rear privacy glass you can get away with any tint brand assuming you go with a fairly dark percentage for the rear.

Rear glass VLT is probably 25% so adding 50% tint would equal 12%-13% after installed. At that percentage it should hide most of any hue color. Then you can nicely pair a 20% or lower to the front.

I recommend when you go to tint shops get a tint sample placed on the window (after they remove the old tint of course) to get an idea.

Other than reviving threads from the dead, what issue are you having?

A good local shop can solve all tint issues.
