I will need to find out more about this - is this a common mod?

I read through this thread and didn’t see anyone with my setup yet. I’m going back to stock billies up front and rxt option 1 in the back. I have a leer cap and awning on all the time. I occasionally carry my rtt. The tent is advertised at 140lbs. I was thinking option 1 since I won’t have any lift up front. You guys think that might work? I don’t want to be too high in back when I don’t have the tent on.

I saw it mentioned on here a few times so I pulled mine apart and went for it. The winch is held up by four bolts, I unbolted all four bolts and slid the mechanism rearward until the front bolt holes line up with the rear holes on the frame, marked the position of the rear holes of the winch on the frame then drilled those. Simple terms is the rear holes (on the frame) are now the front holes (the winch bolts too) and I drilled the new rear holes in the frame. Once you take a look it'll make sense.

I fit 255/85 km3 in the stock spare location without relocating the lowering mechanism. I did however bend the 2 metal tabs for clearance with a floor jack & length of pipe.

Installing RXT leaf pack at the moment and figured out the military wrapped side is the front of the leaf pack but when installed on the drivers side I realized the nuts would be facing inside. Is it okay to change those around to face outside?

I switched mine around and ended up bolting the e-brake cable to them. Mine is working fine with them moved around.

    Hey all,

I know a lot of folks have switched from AAL to the RXT leaf pack. That being said, is there anything suboptimal in pairing the RXT leafs with the 2.5 VS RR shocks (IVD-57805P) compared to the more robust options with RXT line?

From what i was told when researching my icon set up that would be no problem but you just won't be seeing the added benefit of the additional down travel of the leaf pack. I ended up going with the RXT 2.5 RR shock #57826P since they're designed to work with each other... only $100 difference between the two.

So I read through the thread looking for anyone with the option 3 and I don't recall finding any. I'm running this setup daily because I don't have a garage or anywhere to store the rack or tent. I also have a work vehicle so I don't drive it daily so the weight doesn't really bother me since I don't commute.
This is a westcott setup on the front, running option 3 in the rear. I was concerned about the weight in combination with the roof rack, rock sliders, bed rack, stuff in the bed that usually stays there, RTT. With everyone saying they settle I didn't want to chance option 2 settling and then being uneven or lower than the front.

Option 3 does have a slight bit of rake, but it doesn't look bad in my opinion. I would prefer it to be level, but I suppose with time and riding around with constant weight it might have ended up uneven being lower in the back.
Don't mind the shitty editing, I was just trying to brighten it up a little to show the height/wheel gap

How long did it take them to settle down a little bit? I read a few people say option 2 settled a little lower than they’d like which is why I went for 3

Yeah. It is good to flip the nuts and bolts, esp on the fuel tank side. I've seen a pack or AAL (I can't remember which one, not Icon) gouge the tank.

This was my solution as the rear section of the brake line needed the guide to not rub. Just ream out the hole in the guide and attached it to the leaf keeper. I used channel locks to bend the guide to match the angle.

Just got my leaf pack and thinking of going option 2, only weight as of right now is a lomax tonneau cover, but will occasionally tow a small boat or pop up. Also going to lift the front 2.5 inches. Your thoughts?

yeah don’t go option 3 if you on have a tonneau cover. My rear is probably an inch higher and I have probably 300lbs combined in the rear.
