The only thing I changed was from Sport to Limited because this allocation came up first and this color was non negotiable.

 

That is ok to do but it needs to be updated to real vin if you want to see gas and odo and stuff when it gets built

They know the permanent VIN. My truck was supposed to be built on 3/4. Temp VIN was no longer working that afternoon. On 3/5 I drove to the dealer after work, asked my salesman for the permanent VIN if it was available. The salesman looked up my truck on his PC and said oh it was built on 3/3 a day earlier than expected. Gave me the permanent VIN right then! They know what it is. I'm not sure why they wouldn't give it to you.. Unless the build was delayed and he/she doesn't want to tell you that.

 

My truck has been on my dealer's site showing the temp VIN a few days before I put a deposit on it. Temp VIN was updated a week after it was built. Doesn't say purchased still shows for sale. The dealer also has 7 other Tacoma'a now listed since the beginning of this month. 3 of which are Pro's. I called my salesman, and he said all are spoken for already.

My LR Sport Premium has been unloaded off the train in Montreal,awaiting ground transport to Nova Scotia.Might be here late thursday...but for sure early next week.It depends on how many are in the line heading east.

 

I'd recommend waiting until you have an ETA then securing financing about a week in advance. This is what I did. The reason being the pre-approvals are generally good for something like 30-45 days. This will give you a good cushion in case there are unforeseen delays. If you had to re-apply again later, you'd be doing it with more inquiries even if it only counts as one towards your score.

Also, your credit union is most likely going to want a signed purchase agreement (signed by you and the dealer) and I had a hard time getting that out of my dealer until they physically had the truck.

Lastly, if you're buying from out of state they may wants a copy of the title or MSO.

 

Apply now lock in rate my rate went from 2.09 to 3.14 had I not locked in. Would be about $22 a month difference or close to $1500 over the life of the loan. Way things are going could be 5% next month.

 

I'm going to need you to keep up the optimism for the next 2.5 years. I heard yesterday 6-7% is on its way.

 

I put an allocation in mid March for a Sport premium package….my salesman called a few weeks ago and told me that the dealership received an allocation for a fairly stock AG Sport no word on my allocation yet…was I interested? I gave it some thought and said yes….salesman texted me Tuesday that the truck was built Monday and should be here in 4 to 6 weeks.
With money I’m saving I can do the upgrades I wanted.
I’m going upgrade the interior with Katzkin, looking at audio options and looking tonneau covers now

 

Yeah those saying they are waiting to buy later price may be down a bit which I doubt but your payments will be $80 a month more. So unless you got cash.
