Yeah, probably wont ever do it again. Also, the bugs were out something fierce. Maybe its a time-of-year thing but there were spiders everywhere, I killed a scorpion that was hunting a toad right on the edge of the tub (thankful my wife saw it!) and were attacked by an enormous cicada as we were sitting in the spring. Had to fight the thing to the death. Needless to say it wasnt our usual hot spring experience

Well I had a half day so plan was sheeps bridge.
Half day got revoked yesterday so plan changed back to haystack since you guys would be waiting forever for me to show up.
Half day got reinstated for me this morning so sheeps is back on.

So dont go into the hot spring. Got it. Bring bug spray. Check.

no problem. and thats interesting! that must have changed recently, possibly due to the roads or low level of water allowing for vehicles to get back there. Everytime I've been out there.. I hardly ever see vehicles on that side. mostly dirt bikes if anything. Now I'm really curious about the water crossing section.. it might be super easy! lol I was planning on scouting it this week sometime..

But yeah, that road in from the West, sucks. That's what did in my Jeep and my buddies car when we went back there in high school. lol His brakes failed and ended up having to crash it into the side of the mountain along the switchbacks coming down to the bridge to stop, not far from where the rain washed out part of the road on me and I sent my Wrangler across it. Snapped the axle mount and shoved the axle back into the fender... Limped it back up the switchbacks in reverse so it would pull the axle forward into its natural position and backed it up the switchbacks (it was a manual too) loaded with 6 highschoolers and got up to where my buddy crashed his car into the cliffside.. and the Jeep finally called it quits with the belt shredding. Man that was a scary, stressful and fun adventure at 16. lol

very true. she's gettin there though! and also true! more time for shenanigans. lol

Just checked my photos.. last time we were out there at Sheeps Bridge @prise was January of last year.. I dont remember seeing anybody on the east side then either. Water crossing might be no biggie at all.

I am trying to figure out if I want to weld in my battery cage or just bolt it in.

I mean if he needs it, but the stuff he's working on is kinda solo work at your own pace figure it out as you go stuff. I'm not good at finesse work anyways

Yeah thats where I am at. Just need to get the right bolts so the battery doesnt sit to high that the cage doesnt close. Plus I dont want to do all the grinding down of the paint and all that to weld.

I hear you are really good at finesse work from the ladies.
