you thinking about getting a place when you graduate?

 

After I save some dollars yea

 

First dentist appointment in over 10 years this morning. My teeth feel/look fine but I was sure they were going to tell me I'd need dentures or something

turns out I just needed a regular cleaning, X-rays showed no signs of cavities or anything requiring another visit. Lucked out there. Definitely going to start going regularly though lol. not worth the stress

 

Go big or go home.
But nah I just like to say nonsense.

I remember what saving money was like

now it feels like it literally all goes into child care related bills...books, toys, babysitting, kids heath/dental insurance, clothes/shoes that get outgrown every 2 weeks, family activities, swim/music/activity lessons...don't even get me started on what daycare costs once they hit that age. We're going through that now

I'm starting to understand why there are so many shady looking daycare places set up in people's backyards now

In the film days people would do all kinds of stuff like that though for creative effect. Vaseline on the lens filter was a big one

 

Yeah it’s a mess. My gf was in pre-k care for a while, the pay is horrible, the parents are horrible, everyone is stressed.

And then I get stuff like this in the news and am not surprised

 

Yup. Getting a spot in a daycare we liked was not easy. We ended up getting into 2 of our picks and then they require money up front (months in advance) to save your spot. So we are effectively paying for 2 daycares just to ensure that we don't get kicked out one before she's old enough to go.

They do offer a full refund 30 days prior if you back out but still. It's a messed up system that's gotten even crazier.

 

Or if you're spoonman you can have 37s and still drive into a tree or a boulder

 

The alternative are those random backyard neighborhood daycare's you see for cheap but...yeah. Not that desperate lol.
