Understandable. But the market sucks and there are problems left and right. I wonder what would happen if all 2022 production stopped across the board….

Yeah I know it could be worse.. I just hate that my dealer's allocation was removed but all these douchey dealerships that charge people 65k for the truck still get them inbound weekly. It really turns me off to buying from Toyota at all honestly.

I hear you. Maybe it has to do with the size and sales of your dealer and the allocation. I hope you get your EL.

I keep hearing that production is a huge problem and that some people speculate that manufactures might just stop 2022 production and start stocking up on chips and wire harnesses.

Don't get me started...My EL TRD Pro is in Jacksonsville, FL (SE Distribution Center) Have my VIN# and according to my Toyota App the odometer went from 3 miles a few weeks ago to 8 miles and 9 miles yesterday. Went from Days to Lot from -1 to now showing June 6th...Makes no fn sense. My dealership said they put a hold on all for final inspection and will just show up when it does. Entire situation is total BS. My salesman has been amazing checks it every day. I am getting very frustrated...

Toyota probably won't build anymore 2022 Tacomas, if they haven't already stopped production. They might not build any 2023 either if the 4th gen is on its way. If the 4th isn't that close to production, the 2023 3rd gens might not get built until some time well into the 3rd qt of 2023, and that's if all of Mexico does not go on strike 1st.

They will continue to build them, the distinction is, they are no longer accepting new build orders. Watch the tacoma spreadsheet. It shows you everyday what tacomas landed where. PROS are still being built. But.. but.... they are only filling 2021 orders on 2022 trucks... so the only way you will get one is if someone backs out. All the PRO temporary vins for 2022 in lime, are in fact taken, they will release more, but the wait list goes months back. If your just now interested in this color, abandon ship. Unless you have deep pockets.

I ordered this truck in August or September of 2021 at 4 volume dealerships. I requested only a manual... I've received 1. I bought the auto because the writing was on the wall. Toyota has serious supply issues and labor issues, and metal issues.. just like the rest of earth

Black, lime and white has landed at my local dealership (charging msrp) in the last 1-2 months. Maybe the original people backed out I didn't ask but they were all up for grabs.

I wouldn't put much into it either. Toyota might not be able to build many more trucks this year, and when are they scheduled to build 2023? Toyota might build 2022's until late in 22.

Will 2022 be the last year of the 3rd gen.

Ford didn't start building 2022 Rangers until this year. I can't recall when, it might have still been with in the 1st qt.

There are protests in Mexico, that would indicate they are not happy about something there.

How much control does Toyota have on production inside of Mexico? I would think that it is somewhat limited compared to how much control of production they would have in the US. Toyota most likely fairs better when it comes to production in Japan.

My guess. Yes! It's the last year of the 3g Taco. The truck is soooooo far behind. It can't possibly go another year. Not with all the great competition out. I love and am loyal to Toyota. But this horse has been ridden and is all good competing vehicles with front diff axes. and trucks with 33s as standard tires.

It doesn't need another facelift, it needs a trip to the frame, power train shop

They're not going to build one of their build moneymakers until the next gen? That's a little too much "the sky is falling.". They're not going to just give up on the midsize.

Scale down for sure, complete stop...no way.
