It's been a bad time lately. Think now that I have the federal job I'll just run on the base more.

Few years ago I was crossing an intersection with my wife at night (pre-child days we'd take walks through town most nights).

We were waiting to cross a street in the little downtown area in our town, light turns green and we get the walk sign. Start walking. Truck making a left starts going through the intersection like we're not there, mind you this is a very well lit spot because it's the downtown area. Had we not stepped backwards he would've run us over, so naturally after jumping back I kicked the bedside his Frontier as best I could. Guy slams his brakes and then sped off like a bat out of hell, figured he probably thought he hit us and decided to run for it. Prick

Near that same intersection on another day we were crossing a 4 way stop sign and some elderly guy accelerated right into me while I was directly in front of his car. Luckily he braked before completely running me over

When I go walking with my daughter these days I make damn sure people see and acknowledge us before we cross any street. People in general are shitty drivers and don't pay attention to anything

I'm usually pretty good at assuming everyone doesn't see me and waiting. But the heat must've gotten to me today and I just kept going through the intersection without any indication he saw me.

In my cross country days we'd get a lot more bold (like your kick) with cars that did this to us. Now I'll tap on the glass if I'm feeling brave.

I always said a good driver corrects for others' mistakes, but that extends to pedestrians too

Yeah it probably wasn't the best idea to kick the truck lol. You never know who's just looking for an excuse to lose their shit on you. I'm a lot more restrained with my road & pedestrian rage these days esp if my daughters with me. But I like to think I gave that a-hole a nice sized dent to have to pull out

It's almost more infuriating nowadays where I'm more patient, I'll be at the corner of a 4 way stop sign with a stroller in front of me and people will legit run the stop sign in front us just so they don't have to stop and wait 5 seconds. I'm even one of those courteous pedestrians that jogs through intersections rather than slow walk. I hate people.

I've been up at the big shop all evening... This is coming along nicely, I was just here to finish weld. I wasn't able to help with fitup, they did it while I was at work.

@Empty_Lord figured out the parking brake cables for the rear disc brakes. The 2 cables that were supplied with the kit are way to long. Have to have them shortened. I'll post some pics when I'm done. This is the supplied piece for the front of the cables.

The piece they supply fits? If you get measurements I’ll see if I can order another set of cables from them for the Tacoma. My tundra is getting the cables I have. All I have is the one set

Those pieces do. The cables are to long. But the design setup for the cable ends will work.

With the rear disc setup there's a lot more control of the rear brakes. Before there was a fine line between locking up or not. Now you can really feel the brakes are the rear working, but not locking up. (Entering an abs activation stop)
