You honestly may have convinced me, though it won't be anytime soon. They offer the size I want and they're 3.5 lbs lighter than the coopers I have now. Though I don't know if I can get away from the slightly aggressive sidewall that I have now, I love it. Plus these tires have been awesome in all conditions, especially the rain.

My 2020 SR AC 2wd came with the 265/70/16 Duratracs and I was set on replacing them with the Defenders but the Continental Cross Contact H/T seems like a good alternative for a lower price. Tread pattern is very similar to the Michelins. Anyone here ever use them or have any thoughts?

I was thinking about trying those next.. Consumer Reports test ranks those at the top over the Michelins

Had the 265/70-16 Michelin LTXs on my old 2nd Gen

Had them on my old Gen 1 back in 2002

    upload_2022-2-11_17-53-14.jpg

They seem to work well on the 3rd gen also in 265/75-16

3.5 lbs may not seem like much, but I wager you'd notice an immediate improvement in acceleration, braking, and fuel efficiency. Combine that with phenomenal tread life and great performance on wet pavement and you've got a real winner, a tire designed to keep you safe and save you money.

I one can live without the aggressive look, these are quite good sneakers for the taco. Especially if purchased at Costco , with the Costco credit card. You get the warranty and 4% back on the purchase.

I ran these exclusively on my 1992 Toyota for 14 years and on my 2003 Nissan Pathfinder for 15 years. They are an awesome tire. Never had an issue with them. However, after one year I removed the factory Firestone Destination LE's on my 2020 Taco and installed the Toyo OC A/T 3's. First real A/T tire ever. So far so good! If these ever become an issue I would not hesitate to go back to the Michelin's. I do love the look of the Toyo's tho. We shall see. So yes, otherwise I may have installed one size bigger and had 265 70 R17 which is the same size as the OR 265 75 R16.

I had the Michelin’s on my Ranger for about 12 years and they were great. I was hoping someone would have them (pictures) on their 3rd Gen with OEM wheels. Seems to be a pretty rare thing.

It's certainly uncommon on this site, seeing as how most folks around here are gearing up their trucks for off-road use.

Speaking of which, I would be interested in hearing how these Michelins fare offroad, just for curiosity's sake. It would take quite a bit of work to reduce all the variables, which makes such a comparison unlikely to ever happen. You'd need:

A skilled driver with minimal bias,
    Using the same vehicle,
Running the same trail (ideally on the same day, or at least the same time of year),
Only swapping tires/wheels, keeping the sizes the same as to not affect ground clearance.

Of course, this doesn't really offer a fair comparison either, as different off-road situations demand different primary performance aspects from tires. I think the best comparison we're likely to see is the one I linked before:

Well … I’ve decided to go with the Michelin’s. They don’t have the C loads in stock so I’ll have to wait until Saturday. The salesman at my local tire store was kind enough to roll the e load out to my truck for a picture.

Got the new tires today. Unfortunately they (America’s Tire) managed to scratch and scuff every single wheel.

Looks good! Sucks about the goons with your wheels tho. How do they feel so far? Initial impressions.

I am replacing the OEM Wranglers on my TRD-OR (45K miles) with Defenders in the next couple weeks. The Wranglers were fine, but getting noisy and worn down. I am also most likely swapping out the OR wheels for 2020 TRD Pro wheels and will post the pics when its finished.

You are going to love them. They are the only tires I don’t mind paying the insane price for

These are 265/75r16? And is that stock TRD Pro suspension?
