I really don't get why so many EVs have such godawful-looking exteriors. There's nothing about that that's visually appealing.

Aerodynamics. Just what they have to do. Either wedge looking or angular airflow points.

I'm not talking about the shape of the vehicle as much as I am the shape of the individual panels, doors, windows, lights, etc within that shape.

    EVs are a fad.

They will never reach 100% adoption.

Yeh all that is taken into aerodynamic consideration. Anywhere the air flows over is made for more aero efficiency.

They have to install high current rapid chargers at every condo and apartment, the
FASTEST you can change 200 mile range is 15-20 minutes, so imagine EV stations choked all over the country, employers won’t pay to electrify every space, the grid can’t handle everyone coming come and charging at once so get used to Cali style high peak electricity charges from 4-9 pm, we’ll trade our dependence on the Middle East for oil for dependence on nickel and lithium from the Chinese, also expect eyesore windmill and solar farms everywhere.

Also, your typical consumer grade electric car is like the Nissan leaf, it is pure garbage.

We’re not all going to be driving $150,000 Porsche Taycans and Tesla Plaids.

Electric cars will be extremely punishing and devastating to those economies stupid enough to force 100% adoption, you watch.

Governments will walk it back when the extremely complex logistics of this will set in and they’ll act like they never passed executive orders forcing 100% electric.

So you know what's going to happen in the future? Play some lottery numbers then.

Yes, it will be extremely expensive and a massive failure.

Well that's one opinion. I think it is and will be successful. We won't see 100% adoption in our lifetime. Would be nice to see it though.

Like it or not evs are going to be all we will be allowed to have. That said I drove an xc40 ev and didn't like the crazy power. It was silly fast but not in a good way... The power doesn't build naturally. It's like a slingshot and my 40 year old dad bod didn't like it.

I do like the electric Tacoma look though. May drive that when it's out. Give me 200 normal horsepower and a decent battery and I'm good.

This can be fixed with software very easily. I think most of the sex appeal around EVs right now is their to deliver power on demand.

Coincidentally, they also take aerodynamics into consideration for plenty of gas vehicles that don't look like complete ass.

Thank god. But with the new mileage standards upcoming they will start to look different.
