I have a temp VIN of 3TYGZ5ANXNT13C160 but I can’t get it to load. I can see a flash of a Toyota page trying to load but then I get a “Page you are looking for is not found! Contact dealer for more information” message.
I originally had a build date of 4/5 for a Limited Nightshade but the dealer said it was delayed but didn’t know why (I assume sensors for Tech package everyone is talking about). I was hoping to get some kind of update on approximate build date and was hoping I could look up any updated like other seem to be able to do. Thanks for trying to help.

The page does the same thing for me. I've tried some other temp VINs before on trucks I had discussed with the dealer and when the page didn't work it behaved in the same way. If the dealer doesn't have more information I'm not sure what else you can do. Maybe others have better advice or ideas for things to try.

 

Me next, is someone could help out...Would like to see if regional delivery info is same as what would be on Vspec. Tried multiple times and no go. Maybe a regional thing...

Will this lookup work only if the truck is already built and you are wanting to check status or is this supposed to work at any point with a temp VIN? Thanks.

 

It should work on temp VINs although I am not sure how useful the info is. Mine is a temp VIN and it works but I have not seen any change in the info for the 3 weeks or so that I have known it. I'm not sure if anyone has had an ETA or category change on a temp VIN.

 

Hopefully we haven't started a request but I'm gonna ask for mine 3TYSZ5AN5NT12A976 .... I tried to go through Chrome and Firefox to no avail.

Hmmmm... my dealer didn't want to give me a "new" VIN either. Just a "oh, it will be delayed and delivered in mid-May".

 

My truck was built on Monday (4/11) and I still haven't gotten the real VIN. I'm pretty sure my sales guy is being honest I just think he doesn't have it yet. I can't wait to get it so I can refresh that page even more than I do now.

 

On my dealer site and read it with a few others, the VIN will change on the dealer site at some point and once that happens it's supposedly built. Delivery is anyone's guess.

And your dealer, some seem to give information freely while others say don't they get any information or maybe just don't want to put any effort into it. Don't understand how one dealer can get a build, shipping, enroute etc information and others can't. Doesn't seem to be any consistency on information. You would think Toyota is all the same but think they leave it up to the regions on how the post trucks/give information.

 

Good call there. My dealer's site only has real VINs, no temps. I'll keep an eye out on it and maybe my truck will pop up there once the real VIN comes through.

After lurking kissmygrits for two months I put a deposit this Monday 4/11 on an unclaimed Red TRDOR DCSB, Manual Trans. On Monday I was told the truck was in transit and expected at the dealer the end of April or early May. I checked Vspec today and get the below, should I call and bug the dealer? Could the truck really be getting to the dealer this Saturday or Monday while still F status today?

Welcome! I think others have seen that sometimes the change to "G" is only a day or two before delivery. Probably depends a lot on how far your dealership is from where the train unloads.
