Tacomas in Minnesota?

If its like last year yeah it will be June when we start bitching about the heat. I only got 2 nights of camping done in June and July last year with how damn hot it was.

It seems like winter starts later and ends later these days.

 

Currently snowing here around Rochester. Want some warmer temps so I can get some decent fishing in!

 

Yeah it was just white out here for about a half hour. I couldn't see down the block from work. Then the sun came out for 30 secs

 

snow and hail off and on here in Victoria. I just want to work on the truck. Binged some MESO things over the winter I want to get installed

 

I got a huge list of stuff to do. On top is stereo install that I have all ready to go, front bump stops, I started my rear seat delete over the weekend and am close to done just have to cut one or 2 more and then connect all the parts and lay some carpet.

 

you building that rear seat delete yourself or did you get one of those Goose Gear kits?

 

LMAO I can't afford a goose gear. lol I wish I could but yeah I can't spend like $1500 on that. Just using 1/2 inch birch ply, Made a basic platform for the base and a basic for the backing. Only thing I'm going fancy on is a charging station. Last year I put a dual USB and 12v with a 120v plug into the rear of my center counsel which I am now making a box around so that we can charge the drone, cameras, gopro, and whatnots and not worry about them coming unplugged which happens now.

I'll share some pics when I finish it hopefully this week.

Don’t know if I posted before… but here’s the fridge mount I had before kiddo #2 needed that spot in the cab.






Bolts to the seat bottom and seat back hinge bolts. Fridge strapped down to rack. Ran it off my 12v dash plug after I made both of them constant power.

 

Did you build that or buy it somewhere?

 

Built it with some angle and square tube.

 

That is real nice! currently I just have the seats out and I have been strapping my fridge down to the seat bolts and one of the things in the cubby behind the seats. We wanted more space back there so I decided to take it all out and build something. We will see how we like it. We don't plan on having kids so the back seats will never get used. The only time they would have been used in the last like 3 years was last year in Colorado when we gave a couple of hikers a ride back up to their car.

Mine is scheduled to get here at Inver Grove Toyota in a couple days.
Just talked to a guy in a white '01 Tacoma in a Cub parking lot, who said it had over 350000 on it and all he has had to do is replace the fuel pump.
Didn't see any rust either.
I would call that a pretty good omen, wouldn't you ?

 

I love hearing stories like that. Makes me proud to own a taco and excited to keep it for the next 20+ years.

 

I'm about to hit 175k in mine with regular maintenance nothing serious has needed to be replaced.

 

no rust? does he drive it in the winter here? or undercoat it?

 

Like I said, I was coming out of the store and he was idling there waiting for someone to come out so I asked him to roll down the window, only talked to him a minute or so, would have been a bit weird to get down and look under the truck, lol.
