Here is what I have learned of late.

    1. If it's not OEM or some kind of Proven super high-end LED offering, Stay away from it unless you are willing to compromise stability or reliability, etc... Even then acceptance or Compatability is not guaranteed. I updated my DRLs, rear turn signal, and backup lights a few weeks ago. All with top-of-the-line offerings. Went for the first test drive after the install and the truck would not shift out of 1st gear and the shift indicator would not show anything except the R for reverse. One by one, I replaced the LEDs with OEMs until I got to the rear backup lights. Put OEM back in place of $220.00 LEDS and all returns to normal. No one and I mean no one knows why! New to the whole Taco thing and I really like my truck, but still have a lot to take in. The lights look nice BTW. And in case your shopping VLED is a solid company who stands behind their products. Their Custom Switch Back DRLs are outstanding and one of my fav mods.

Thanks. I will look for a halogen in a similar style. I do not need any more problems. Last month my ac/heater unit went, and I still have not fixed the broken wires at connection. Also, my horn stopped working at about the same time. I am triple dipping at work for another week and have no time. Hopefully I can take a day off soon and get some stuff in order.

My OEM tail light LED's are slowly going out, which sucks because I can't replaced each LED. If I buy another tail light, it'll be pre-LED version with the halogen bulbs. Those are a little dark for my taste.

This was the route I was going to take if I could find a oem set locally that hasn’t been beat to hell and/or doesn’t require me to take out a mortgage for. Hell even the local bone yard wants upward of 150$ A piece for thrashed ones or ones with broken clips/lenses. Think they’ve been hanging out with the used car dealers too much on their free time.
