I’m currently waiting one yet another special tool so I can change the oil filter and finish the oil change on my CT.

Drained the oil and because the canister is smaller than the trucks, my current oil filter took wont work to remove it…now it’s stuck on jackstands.

changed trans fluid while I was under there, shit was black as used oil.

    drained/filled engine and inverter coolant.

looks like the headgasket was changed at some point since it’s blue (aka Fel-Pro). Engine coolant was also green so I’m sure the head has been off. Put SLLC back in since the green stuff will destroy aluminum engine parts.

I’m currently swinging it at my wife’s GX. Doing oil and filter. Needs tires too (on backorder).

Hopefully it's not a Fel-Pro. But just like the Prius, the CT can develop blown head gaskets. I think it's mainly in colder regions and driving in more stop and go traffic. Something about the EGR cooler and associated piping clogging up because the gas engine isn't running enough. The buildup causes excessive heat to the head gasket causing it to fail end the engine overheats. That's my understanding anyways. We've never really had that issue at our dealership though. Mainly because we never sold that many and it's hotter here. Did yours come from up north?

its a southern FL car. It’s a fel-pro gasket. Frankly I’m just glad it’s been done recently, so I don’t have to worry about it for some time.

I’m hoping I can convince ovtune to get my CT supported so I can disable the egr totally and block it off.

I'm gonna disconnect the battery tomorrow and let it sit for a while. If that doesn't work I guess I'll be picking up an ABS scanner

Went to the OBX this weekend for the Mrs. birthday… It was a GREAT time!!! Kid free for a couple days. Went to the 4WD shore and enjoyed the beaches and found a couple people in need of help. Helped recover a Jeep and a Ford F-250. Trying to drive on this stuff when your 4WD goes out sucks (it happened to both of these people).

Christian Brothers in Matthews/ Indian Trail is decent for a chain type place. The alignment tech is an Ex Toyota employee. Cant say if he is still there however.

last time they didn’t torque the lower cam bolts properly and the loosened up, slipped, and flattened the cam tab. I called them but they refused to fix it.

$130 + tax + shop fees. End up being closer to $150
