I definitely love using my "non-welding" welding gloves for grabbing metals and stuff. But I have leather cut-resistant gloves I use for Everything...including unloading all that stupid mulch in the back yard

That soap brand you mentioned looks promising; I'll have to order some!

    EXACTLY this!

Hell, even just for TW to snap a quick pic

Convenient for 5-ton owners, they don't need to get their phone out for anything....ESPECIALLY pics.

    Nice!

We’re thinking about adding a 6x10 lean to shed from TS. I’m all for it because it would mean I’d get our existing 9x9 yard and camping gear shed that’s built off the back off my shop. It would be pretty sweet to have a place to store bulky tools and clear some space in my shop, plus I’d build a pass through so I can roll tools in and out when I need them.

What are your plans for yours?

Yeah, you already know I desperately need one.

I keep throwing shit in storage!

Is the lean shed the one with a flat roof at a slight angle?

We were originally set on that, but after checking out the showroom and comparing the difference, the lean shed felt too claustrophobic. That's saying something cause I'm already short.

As for use, it'll keep stuff we don't want in the house that only gets used sometimes IE ornaments, pressure washer, edge trimmer, that sort of stuff.

On another note, I guess our sink has a filter -

Yep, the lean to has the single pitch roof.

We’re cool with that because it’ll be a couple feet from a fence and I don’t want the city bitching about the height above the fence or anything. And it’ll just be camping gear and stuff anyway.

Storage is such a huge deal. When we emptied out the last storage unit we had it felt SO DAMN GOOD.

Here’s to you being able to do the same eventually!

Awe shit, didn't know that'd be an issue but at least you thought it out!

Our house has dark grey trim, so we basically made the shed an opposite version of it. Except we chose the gray with a blueish hue to add some subtle color/contrast.

I'm surprised how much artificial grass is going to cost us, especially for our small yard.

Not just spiders, I've found mice and even a raccoon up there

When they built it they were kind enough to drive long nails into all the 2x4s that stick out a good 3" through the wood, so you have to be very careful where you choose to stand up lest you give yourself a lobotomy

Attics are great for stuff that you rarely need to get to, but they suck hard for anything else. It sounds like you can at least stand up in yours, so that helps a bit.

That reminds me that I need to refresh the insulation and build a storage platform in our house attic. But I don’t even want to think about more projects right now!

    :annoyed:

Yeah it's a large attic and it's very tall in the center, but our roof slopes down steeply so you have to crouch on the sides. And there's no built-in ladder for it so I have to drag our 12ft ladder in from outside every time. But overall yeah it's been nice to put stuff up there that we don't really use, except all our (erm, my wife's) seasonal holiday decoration bins are up there which means I'm up/down it quite a bit every year

we do have a storage shed in the backyard but it's small and I've beyond filled it up with tools and camping gear/chairs/house stuff etc
