Paint Issue

    Question: I purchased a band new Toyota Tacoma Double cab Prerunner in 2012 from Toyota of Glendale (CA). I noticed a month ago that the factory paint is coming off my hood and roof of the cab. I went back to the dealership and the service department told me factory paint is warranted for 5 years. Nothing in the bill of sale states that and I suspect that was a "nice way" to tell me to "get lost". After asking the dealership to show me something in writing that states that, they did say they would send me up the street to their independent body/paint shop to inspect my truck, take photos etc and then they would send those to Toyota corporate. They also told me it would take 3 to 4 months before we get a response from Toyota. (Something I again question).
    My question is has anyone else had an issue with factory paint peeling off their Toyota truck? Thank you for your feedback.

    I have seen a bunch of situations on just TW where these trucks have had the clear coat burn off especially in Cali, Florida, Arizona, etc followed closely behind by the paint going away.

    I have never personally heard of Toyota taking care of a paint issue on anything other than a couple years old or less.
