I may end up doing just this… installing this weekend and see how it shakes out. Wish Eibach Support would chime in though.

Have you reached out the Eibach's customer support from their site? The single rep on the forum is not support.

If they're going to launch/gather interest a product through this thread they should also be monitoring it for issues at the same time. I get it's a long running thread but it would behoove them to monitor/answer.

I was considering these over the westcott lift I have but now I'm waivering

It's literally the exact same spring design as OEM. There's no problem with the new spring you wouldn't potentially have with the original

Mark isn’t going to pay me back if my vehicle started riding like shit so I talked to everyone NOT on this forum. Because adult. The lower spring rate was the reason the sport size sway bar is used vs the OR. The OR is is 650.

100% agree, which is why I posted here. I thought i would get a response but its been a couple of days now. I am pretty disappointed with the overall fitment of the 2020-2021 springs, and honestly would not have bought them had I known the outcome. Now I am out the money spent on the assembly, and may have to reinstall the factory springs or go with another option like Westcott.

    Yeah.
Honestly, I don't think there's an issue. Right now, the spring is pushing against the top hat, which is pushing on the washer and bushings with all the force of the spring. The washers and bushings are the only things holding it together. When installed, that top hat pushes against the top mount, not the washer and bushing -- and only the shock shaft pushes against the top hat and bushing with only the resisting force of the damping internal to the shock. Once installed, my bet is that it looks just like the other pics that have been posted.

Lots of people on Spring Breaks right now, so I wouldn't assume people are being lazy or inattentive.

Thank you thats somewhat reassuring. May just give it a go. I just dont understand why Eibach changed the spring design for 2020 from the previous flat design.

    Yeah.
I think only the bottom of the spring changed due to the bottom perch on the shock changing. The top is the same for all years.

Pop those suckers on your truck and take some pics, don't leave us hanging!

Nah the 17-19 springs are ground flat on top and bottom. Totally different design

2017-2019 Pro OE springs have a 650 lb/in spring rate. I emailed Fox asking for details about the part number on the OE springs, which Eibach manufactures for Fox. I'll dig up the email and post it again. The quote @th3clara is referring to is the response @mark@eibach posted in response to my post about emailing Fox.

I’m not guessing. TRD said the same thing when I investigated. It’s the lower spring rate is the reason why they use the sport sway bar in the pro. I don’t care what mark says.

What is that pic from? Email from Eibach I'm guessing?

Fox quoted 650 lb/in for the OE spring, which is their spec. Then Mark confirmed on this forum what I previously got from Fox.

And I believe what Mark quoted. Not only does it match what Fox said, but my 2018 TRD Pro was a test vehicle for the Eibach Pro springs. Was up at Eibach HQ in Carona, CA on a couple of occasions while they dyno'd the OE shocks, measured the OE springs and then again for the test fit and install. 650 lb/in has been the rate discussed for both 2017-2019 OE and Eibach lift springs through the entire process. Not sure what to tell you about the conflicting info.

Edit 1: I also recall the Eibach spring rate for 2020+ was 620 lb/in, but I'll have to scour this thread to find the details.

Edit 2:Found it! Post #1099. 2020+ OE spring rate was measured at 616.3 lb/in. 2020+ Eibach lift springs are 620 lb/in.
My guess is the sales/tech rep you emailed got the 2017-2019 and the 2020+ spring rates confused.

I was told by Toyota that they are 12.3x3x65.

As a side, the same dealership “master mechanic” has a contract with Ironman and tried to convince me to go that route. After install, he said it was a good call and that the fitment was perfect. The complaints seem to be associated with user error…

Finished installing the coilovers with the new springs on them. Used a 1/4” spacer on the drivers side to account for lean. Getting them in was a little more of a challenge due to how the top hats were off-level, but I got them in. With things straightened out, the top bushing isn’t squashed anymore. However the shocks are not very well centered inside of the springs. Hoping due to this there wont be any rubbing on compression. Overall not super happy with the design of the springs not being flat on the top, but they seem to ride well so far. We shall see after some time…

There’s not conflicting info. Just me not hanging on the words of dudes on a forum. Same dudes still arguing over which oil to use btw.
I went straight to eibach, and straight to Toyota. You can believe whatever want, but yes, thats is a email that comes from eibach…in my inbox. In regards to these lift springs. 2019.

I like having written proof of statements and claims, that said, TRD wouldn’t do emails but you’re free to call them on Monday. Ask them why they Trd pro uses a thicker swaybar then the OR…

    (714) 444-1188

I talked to fox too, they either don’t divulge or know any of the actual details about the tune specs from TRD. They don’t actually set the specs, Toyota does. They’re giving you the number based on what there factory series (not OE) coil overs are for the weight of the vehicle. In addition, they don’t modify or fuck with OEM shocks in anyway…as my concern initially was figuring out much down travel change there would be.

Did they give you any trouble? I stopped by my local 4 wheel parts here in Albuquerque and was told they couldn’t do it. He said they don’t have a spring compressor that they could use to compress it enough. And something about warranty blah blah. He said it would likely have to be shipped out to be done. Seemed strange to me.

Any other recommendations on where to get this installed? And about what price to expect?

I am not "hanging on the words of dudes on a forum". I emailed Fox and spoke to Eibach engineers in person, at their HQ in Corona, CA. I see we are at an impasse here. Have a great day!

Glad it’s at least a so far, so good situation! FYI: The pro shocks built in a fix for the lean, for which proof is illustrated elsewhere in this thread.
