Lunar Rock Gen III Thread

I've been looking for some covers that may offer protection on certain muddy 'adventures'... were these difficult to install? Would these lend themselves to putting on and taking off multiple times as needed?

Or should I get something lose like the carharts? Thanks!

 

I can’t compare to the carharts as I’ve never had them but these took about an hour total install time for both rows of seats. It’s rather straightforward and doesn’t require removing any seat. Hope this helps.

 

Picking up my LR Sport 6MT tonight. Ordered it Jan 30th.

 

Since I got mine in August of last year I’ve seen 1 other LR Tacoma and that was about 2 weeks ago. I’m in N Fort Worth and stay more towards this side of the metroplex but it is rare to see another LR in any form. Definitely get a lot of compliments on the color and people asking about it.

 

Ordered in Jan. Still waiting...The only thing I hear from my dealer is every two weeks she texts to say "sorry, we didn't get you one on this allocation". I was offered the truck I want in red and said "absolutely not!" I see a LR TRD Pro at work every now and again but other than that I haven't seen one around here.

 

Which state?

 

I put my name down for a LR back in Sept 2021. My dealer just got their first two, one last month and the other (soon to be mine) this month. Both TRD OR DCSB auto with no tech pkgs. This is in upper MI

But they've been getting a crap ton of SR5s in white.. both standards and Trail Editions.

 

Do you recall the tint % on this?

 

Did everyone's truck come with clear film on the mirrors and bumpers? Never really noticed until last week the added protection on there. Don't think i've seen a thread on it besides people getting protection/zylon* etc at purchase or after the fact.

I believe this is a dealer/port installed vehicle protection package. Film on the hood, bumper, mirrors, door handles etc.
I noticed this on some Tacos when I was shopping for my 2020 (November 2019).
Check your window sticker.

 

I’ve had my lunar rock since mid November and I’m just now starting to see a few around town. I’ve actually seen more lunar rock third gen tundras than tacomas! Still hate these transmissions lol

 

My truck is Canadian and I have the same thing. I think it’s how it’s moulded, don’t think it’s a clear film over the bumper. You can see the difference where there is clear film in front and behind the rear wheels

 

Order yourself a 6spd manual version and trade in or let Carvana buy from you when it arrives in.

Just curious what others are listing as vehicle color at the dmv. I said lunar rock and she looked at me dumb lol so it’s kinda cement grey and kinda green and she told me to pick one. So I said green. ‍♂️ Makes since to me.

 

Pretty sure I’ve seen you then, I live in downtown Fort Worth and only seen one LR pro and one premium at my apartment complex once. I live right off i30 in down town.
