Home finally. Truck unpacked. 6490 miles total on the trip. Had a fuckin blast, I'll do a trip log later.

Steering gear quieted up after 2 days of driving w/ the emergency grease in it. Will be interested to see what it looks like during the rebuild.

 

I got on a kick the last couple weeks and ordered some shit. I ordered some of the whiskey Mike Rowe is pushing and the gin from James May. The whiskey won't ship to MA, so I had to have that sent to my parents (Thanks, Maura) and it just showed up today. The gin shows up at my house on Monday. Pretty excited to try both! Any of you had either one?

 

I haven’t but a James May gin, I can get behind that. I usually just drink whatever is the cheapest in a glass bottle when it comes to gin, since I mix it with ginger ale or fresca. Haven’t drank much whisky lately.

Once I get the smoker rolling this year, I’ll probably sit out and have a couple glasses of whisky though. I MIGHT be able to next weekend.

 

Anyone watch the newest Jackass? Jackass forever or whatever?

Finally have actual coilovers on my truck, Bilstein 8112's! They ride so much better than the IronMan 4x4 lift struts I had on my truck for almost 8 years.

I DO know, a set of those JBAs are in my future...

 

The HD JBAs I have are beefy (and very much overkill for what I do), but they are much better than the Camburgs I used to have (especially regarding alignment numbers).

Honestly, I should have bought the standard ones, but I thought, might as well have some overkill! Even the 8100 Bilsteins are overkill for what I do...
