Yes, on the request form that you fill out, you can specify a single pod.

.814 is 11.9 AFR which is good enough for my purposes.

Apologies if this has been covered somewhere in the prior 2,305 posts (I couldn't find it through search) but is anyone successfully using a pedal commander or similar device with the Magnuson SC on their truck (3rd gen)? I recently got my SC installed and absolutely love it, but as bad as the throttle lag was before I feel like the SC has exposed it to be even worse. Thanks in advance!

to my knowledge no Magnuson SC users are using the PC - Most of us came from VFTuner (Ovtune) and most suffer from the issue you describe. The solution is being developed by YotaWerx and their SC Tune which uses VFTuner software. @mZiggy may be a better source to tell you why the PC combination on top of your Magnuson Tune may be a very bad idea. YotaWerx SC tune is being tested by a few of us here - It fixes the issue you describe and improves upon the Magnuson Tune too.

I don’t think any of us use it, but you can if you want. You can also just press the gas pedal harder. All a pedal commander does is make the ecu think you pressed the gas pedal farther.

I’ve been lurking on this thread since the very beginning and been very close on pulling the trigger on the mangy a few times. But the more people with AT share their experiences, it reminds me why I haven’t done so. I have an aftermarket tune and the truck rides extremely nice even with all the weight, big tires, etc. That said I would like the extra power but I would hate myself if I went back the the stock (or similar) shifting logic which looks like what the maggy tune is using. I’ll be in when the tune @mZiggy has been working on is released. It looks like that still some time away for AT’s.

Until then, I’ll keep lurking.

I don't want to get ahead of myself like I did the last time I thought we were about to release the tune and then discovered more we want to work on, but I think it's super close to release. We've got a couple maps that need to be run on the dyno and I'm trying to see if I can hone in on one more dyno-worthy map. Little tweaks here and there.

The shift logic is probably g2g now. But honestly back in February and the biggest reason for the delay is that I wasn't in love with how the fueling was set up (even for NA) and so I elected to continue to work on that, to dive deep and explore every option and decide what was the best way to go about addressing it.

There are very very few tables in this tune/ecu that we haven't touched and edited in some way in order to make this truck drive way better.

It will be worth the wait!

@mZiggy has worked some serious magic with this tune, my truck drives night and day different from when I first installed the SC on the stock Maggy tune.

Awesome power, smooth shifting, and ear to ear grins every time I drive it!

Might want to order the SC now. Timing is everything and you won't want to be late to the party. Just saying IYKWIM.

This is what I thought back in October/November. We're in April going into May and still no tune fully released yet. Reading the feedback of the few that have it makes me want to pull the trigger but I don't want to end up with a $7k mistake. I know the feedback is real, I just want to make sure it gets released at some point before diving in.

But trust me, almost every time I lurk here, I end up at a few online dealers. :D

Right on! I can't wait to see this thing released and hear more feedback from the community.

I fully understand your position. All I can say is that dev takes time. There are some aspects of the tune that simply would've been negligent to not investigate. Perfect examples are Mat/OV's dev time for NA and Twin Turbo kit tunes, or even Magnuson themselves once VFTuner released. And that's with Maggy having a truck on-site. I do not have one in hand, and everyone involved has their own personal schedules. I am incredibly grateful to all of them for the personal time and gas/gas money they use to assist in this project.

@a2lowvw @Formidable @GoldenBrew @Double Down @4x4rich89 @Doostur @SK808 have all dedicated a lot of time and resources to this and we wouldn't be where we're at right now without them and their help.

I cannot state enough how much I appreciate yours and everyone else's patience and hope the support continues.

Hoping to be scheduling the next dyno day soon. :fingerscrossed:

Magnuson TVS1900 Supercharger with 87mm pulley, Catted OVTune dumptubes, Doug Thorley 2.5in y-pipe, custom mufflers, 76mm Tundra throttle body, 5.29 Yukon gears, JamesT custom fuel rails, Yotawerx 87mm tune, Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension. And some other stuff.
I have had the SC in for a little over a month. I really enjoy driving the truck now and have no regrets. The only issue now is ......... I WANT MORE!! While I wait for the third party tune what else can be done to make this truck quicker?

I am toying with the idea of installing 5.29 gears. From what I have read it appears this will make it quicker, even without the SC.

What is the forums thoughts on this? Is re-gearing to 5.29 (with 33" tires) a good idea? Are there other things I should consider doing first?

Here are some other ideas I considered but decided against due to insufficient "bang for buck":

CAI - Seems it might increase HP/TQ but only by maybe single digits, not really worth the time and effort, probably won't make a noticeable difference.
Exhaust Headers and high flow cats - I figure this would have better HP/TQ gains but probably barely noticeable.
Upgrade fuel system and smaller SC pully (Smaller than the 87mm I currently have on it) - This would probably be noticeable but the problem is I am not finding much information on what needs to be changed (fuel pump, injectors, etc) and even if I did change these things I assume the Magnuson tune wouldn't take advantage of these changes and possible third party tunes might not either.

    What are your thoughts?

I see VF Tuner 1.6 is supposed to be released "soon" and there are some new maps that may aid forced induction tuning. Any plans on holding back release until after those maps are available? I know soon could be between now and 10 years down the road lol

You’re maxed out on the stock tune. URD spec U exhaust will add a bit more everywhere under the curve. It replaces the restrictive OEM Y pipe and the rear cats. Do not run the 84mm on the stock tune. The 87mm is where we run out of fuel.

I just ordered the snow performance water/meth injection 2.5 proline kit with 9 gallon tank to go in the bed. For clarification Magnuson does not recommend running water or meth through their rotors… period. I’m going to test whether the 84mm on the stock tune with water/meth injection is possible.

Doubt 81mm, 78mm and 75mm will be done on stock fuel. We have a lot of room to grow with the TVS1900.

My short term plan is release the tune with the tools available to me now and use the upcoming tools to further refine and improve.

The v1.6 tools could lead us down a road that takes another several months of testing for all I know, and I'm not interested in withholding the tune with seemingly endless promises of "it's coming, it's coming, please be patient, just a bit longer".

YotaWerx NA customers get free updates as tunes are improved upon, and the intent is the same for this tune.

    Thank you for the input.

Do you believe the URD spec U exhaust will have a greater impact than 5.29 gears?
