Favorite Whiskey?

Made a call today and got lucky.

 

My last day with my employees as I’m moving on to another position after a promotion. They got me the bottles below as a gift. The Fitz is pretty low but it was so I can give it a try. Good group of guysalso, got lucky on the Michters BP after the liquor store and doordash made a mistake. Got the bottle for the cost of the regular

What’s “better”, this Michter’s or the Single Barrel?

 

Popped into the liquor store to get my usual basic white gurl Four Roses, saw this on the shelf above it on special so thought I'd give it a shot (or two).

 

Michters BS Rye is fantastic and one of the few bottles I’ve had worth buying at secondary.

I think the barrel strength rye is the best rye michter's makes
I've had their rye, toasted barrel strength rye, barrel strength rye, and 10 year rye.

 

I only ask because Michter’s Single Barrel is available locally.

 

Have you tried the Booker’s yet?

So what’s the verdict?

 

To me, I love Old Carter bourbon, I think it’s delicious. I also have a bottle of the American and it drinks way lighter than the 139 proof it is.

 

Haven’t tried the barrel strength yet, but I’ll be opening it this weekend

 

Had a good customer give me this before I left today. Heck of a day for knowing good people

 

This Is good stuff. I think you will enjoy it.

 

Just got back from Kentucky…

 

I’m jealous of the Old Fitzgerald. They’re releasing a 17yr. BIB this spring, I was hoping Heaven Hill would have it when I stopped by. How is it?

 

I’m not wild about Old Fitz given the hype.
