I don't think Toyota will stop building Tacomas. They certainly wouldn't want to stop. There could be things that happen that would prevent Toyota from building Tacomas. With production schedules for next year Tacomas, and the up coming 4th gen on the way. There could be unforeseen outside factors that could prevent the production of Tacomas for a certain model year.

 

I’m in. 8 month wait. Picked it up today and I’m speechless. This thing is beautiful. The pictures don’t do it justice. 6MT all the way.

I was at my dealership yesterday and the salesman said ,I am in western Canada that not 1 of these has been ordered yet and even pre covid it was taking a year after a customer put in there order. This dealership sells probably 20 Tacomas a month

 

I don’t know if I had a VIN, but the dealer called me up and said they had been allocated my truck and it would be built on 3/30. Couple weeks later they called and said Toyota pulled it from them. I’ve been watching their site and the spreadsheet and they haven’t been allocated much at all recently.

 

Hey…That’s me… Not going to lie… That’s a bit creepy to see it like that, but still cool. ;-)

Hopefully the sliders will be here in a few weeks. Got told 8+ weeks when I ordered them.

LOL, Yeah I know, I was just giving you a hard time.

According to the dealer (Sun), when I picked it up they were saying that it was the only ELM in the entire SE. I take that with a grain of salt, but like you, it’s the only ELM that I’ve seen around here.

It’s easy to find

 

I’ve had my ELM for about a week. When I was driving home yesterday I had a guy pull me over and wanted to know how I got the truck. He’s been waiting over a year for one. He offered me 4K over msrp for it on the spot. I told him give me a day or 2. I’m really tempted to sell it and take advantage of the situation and just order another truck but just an off-road. I really love the pro but up here in Canada they are 12k more than an off-road and 10k more than an off-road premium. Call me crazy but I may do it even if I have to wait for a new one. The only reason why I bought it was the dealer had it coming in and it wasn’t sold and to get an off-road it was a 6 month wait. I only have 275 kms on the truck.

 

Wow, that's crazy. They are hard to come by. I'd say if you are not completely in love/can't do with out it....then sell it. It'll give ya a little jingle in your pocket for the Off-Road.

 

That’s the problem. Lol. I do love it it. But the practical side of me says sell it. I originally wanted a sport premium 6MT. But I couldn’t find one. I did find one the day before I was to pick this one up. But the dealer wanted either a $2500 market adjustment or $6k worth of accessories.

 

I have never seen one here in western Canada

 

If he’ll go 4K he’ll do at least 6k maybe even 7500
