Tree work isn't cheap. I been thinking of bite the bullet and have a bunch trimmed or removed. Have about 30 foot of fence top rail and several caps to replace from branches crashing down.
Going for a ride in a helicopter is on my bucket list. I have a chance nearly every year. The towns apple jack festival they have a helicopter you can get rides on...but you must pay and it's not cheap for no more than the ride last. I know we could fly over the house here and take a couple photos.
A coworker who is an Engineer, he learned to pilot in the military, Army branch if I'm not mistaken anyways he is a medical evacuation pilot on days he's not working. He's a good kid..:rofl:I say kid because he seems so young compared to me.

Surprised they landed in that. Our crews are pavement princesses. They used to land every where when the pilots where older military pilots.

In my youth on some trees you had to hang from the crane because there was just not a good Y to tie off on.

New plow handle time, these have seen better days. Paid $32 at an auction for the two plows 10 years ago, paid $51 for four handles

What would this blue light have been used for with a flasher? Guy gave it to me, the light inside is gone. Flasher coming out, the rest is going in the trash.

Around here the Volunteer Firefighters/EMTs use a blue light. The only ones allowed a red light are Chiefs I believe.

Fire and ems only use red around here. Police all use blue.

It varies state to state.. in Iowa.. you're only allowed a blue light for Fire... EMS is a white light.. so if you're a firefighter EMT you could have both. Obviously the big red trucks have Blue and Red as well as law enforcement. In Nebraska a volunteer can run Red and Blues but they have to have a siren.

My wife went to that funeral today, Roy was a charter member of our FD and they built this truck from scratch. It’s the one I rebuilt the water tank on many years ago. They put him on the back and drove him to the grave. He was a volunteer for the FD for 50 years and served as chief for 14. He was also an Army veteran. R.I.P. Roy :hattip:
