Trying out the 1.75 Rancho setup, some new brakes and rotors too. So far it rides smooth, stops like it should and is taller.

Went with the 1” maxtrac shackle lift out back with Rancho 1” extended RS9000
So far happy with it all

Also, nice frame for a Midwest truck. I see avatar says replaced, but still, looks great if it's seen much salt.

will upsize 1” to 265 75 16 after alignment next week. True to advertised lift, expect a little settling of course. So far , happy for $800 and a few days in the garage. Needed the upgrade

Yes, frame is solid, replaced in ‘13 and is treated with FF. Fun truck, rocker and door panel rust though

We’d planned to go camping this weekend with a few friends who came up for the weekend. Decided against it, but wanted to do our dutch oven meals anyway. Used the fold down table on the swing out and the tailgate for the meal prep.BA91B2DE-E5AE-44CA-A021-35528F738608.jpg

Decided to use the tailgate/saw bench today. Cut up some firewood that I’ve been putting off for weeks. Tailgate is ESSENTIAL.

Getting close to finishing up this compressor install. Currently have a lot of leaks to fix. I will never again use thread sealant. Don't care if I get a piece of tape in my system. It's also tripping my 60 amp breaker around 120psi. Hoping it's because it's a cheap breaker. 20220416_213052.jpg 20220416_212953.jpg 20220416_212810.jpg

Here's a short video my friend put together about our CV axle (mis)adventure in the remote Nevada backcountry and my amateur-yet-successful in-field repair (see my earlier post):

Did the diffs and T-case fluids - fluid didn’t look toooooo bad, dirty but not the sludge I was expecting. Glad to get it done nonetheless

So I think our blocks are aluminum right? Or an aluminum alloy? Aluminum and stainless are no bueno together. Unless I am mistaken, if so carry on.
