I’ve been looking at Rightline truck tents They don’t have a built in floor so you wouldn’t have to empty your bed.

Morimoto XB LED Head & Fog Lights, Cali Raised Stealth Light bar, OEM Roof Rack, Homelink Compass Mirror, Power Tailgate Lock, LED bed lights, MESO mirrors, gashole, switch panel & Stage 2 tails, PRO grille. Where's the mall?

Napier Sportz III here. Works great! Coupled with Airbedz (what's with all of the ZZZ'S??) bed mattress was a good fit.

Not hard to set up, I set up the tent in the pic without instructions (bought used). Only thing to watch out of are the tailgate straps, put something between them and the paint so you don't scuff the paint.

Lots of great reviews for the Exped Megamat Duo 10. But dayum... almost $400!!!!

In all seriousness, thank you for your recommendations. Very helpful!

Napier tent, $75 on Craigslist. Replaced it with a RTT.

I'm thinking of getting a Napier - what made you switch to RTT?

The Napier is a fine low cost option for getting up off the ground but it takes more time to setup and requires removal of everything in the bed which can be a pain. The RTT costs a heck of a lot more but everything stays in the bed, provides more sleeping space, plus the RTT literally sets up in a minute.

I've got more nights than I care to try and count with this combo. Can confirm 100% it works, even down to zero. Even when warm I preferred to sleep on top of one and could easily wrap-up if it got colder, dew, unexpected precipitation etc. Legit MILSPEC surplus bivi's can be had for ~$100. Only downsides are sometimes kinda suffocating yourself and no room to get dressed without totally exposing yourself to the elements. Can be easily [mostly] offset with a poncho/lean-to

I have a Napier Sportz truck bed tent and the AirdBedz truck bed air mattress fit for a 6 foot bed. The tent is the one with the awning, which I highly recommend if there is any rain in the forecast at all. It is like a dream compared to the ultralight tent we used to use during our motorcycle trip days. First and second setup take a little bit of time, but after that it's under 10 minutes. One thing I added was a piece of carpet cut to fit on the tailgate under the doorway. Makes it easier on your kneecaps when climbing in and out.
