Have had one installed for 4 years and even in -40 canadian winters it has worked great. Although the plastic has faded, nothing that aerospace 303 can't fix though

It's a very easy install. It fits into the factory cubby that I personally never used in front of our cup holders. You do have to pull out the radio and center console. But that's fairly simple. You drill one hole into the factory cubby to fish a power line for the charger. It taps into the "cigarette" port from behind but still allows it to be used. By doing that you can only charge the phone with the truck running. I'm sure if you wanted to, you could cut up the chargers harness and tap into constant power somewhere. That way you could charge the phone with the truck off. You might have to also wire in a cut off switch for the charger to avoid possible battery draw when you Weren't charging the phone. Didn't really go down that rabbit hole though. I don't mind only charging when the trucks running. It's about 40$ on Amazon. So for around 40 bucks and 30 minutes you get some 3rd gen type tech and can be wire free. There is one YouTube video that I found to show the install. I'm posting pics of the box. I don't have any of the install process. But it really is simple!

I had the dash taken apart already, so just reached down and blindly figured out how to unscrew/remove the existing cigarette lighter and get it out of there. Then just popped this puppy in there and plugged it into the back of the aftermarket head unit I have which had a couple available USB inputs.

Do you have the hands of a toddler? I can't get back there to save my life even with the dash almost all apart. I would love to do this also I don't need to of them. I use one to keep my Jackery charged any time we are driving but then I keep a USB plug in there.

You definitely should be taking them off time-to-time and clean everything under the covers.
Here are my covers after a full Canadian winter full of snow and salt. I reversed my covers to the Icon logo is on the inside. Barely any debris in there!
I constantly wash my truck and barely anything got in the boots.

Here are the shocks after I pulled the boots off. Perfectly clean looking.

Seems like they discontinued this. I can't find one on Amazon or the Scosche website.
