No. Gears are the best addition for an automatic. Even without the sc.

    Can't wait!

And by the way, I'm not bashing on the tune taking this long. I know what it takes to properly make something like this happen, especially when everyone has their own thing going on. I'm super grateful that people like you and other willing to take the time to test things out are here. I remember reading this thread from the first page and was a bit skeptical about the performance gains. It wasn't until your post about your feedback after your install that confirmed my skeptisism. So another thank you for being honest.

I might take @GoldenBrew advice and start gathering parts soon. Do you know if anyone have a complete list of the parts that are necessary and optional to make the install with links? Below are some I gather from reading posts here. Anything I'm missing?

    • SC kit
    • 87mm pulley
    • Boost & AF gauges
    • Gauge pods

I didn't take your posts as bashing, no worries man.

I don't have a supercharger personally, I had the Twin Turbo kit from OV.

This thread and another 3GT Maggy thread, idk where it is now, have a ton of info though, I'm sure someone will chime in with all sorts of tips.

@Bigetaco22 made a few in-vent mount gauge pods for the twin turbo folks, idk if he still is. Your climate/location may dictate whether or not this is right for you though lol I personally ran boost on the far left vent

Looking forward to this MZig! Hoping this version locks in gear too. I struggled to get the dyno working properly with the Maggie tune. We had to feather it through the gears and even then wasn't very successful. I did note the torque was around 350, but the hp...ugh. Anyway, getting my AEM boost gauges in soon.

The plan is give an additional tune to tune customers with gearlock enabled (S-mode + ECT), since some people like it, some don't.

We're looking into scheduling a dyno session for next week.

Hoping to get this done soon as temperatures are increasing and heat is no friend to power, boosted or not. We hit 90 today in El Paso, Hawaii isn't far behind from what I hear.

Scientifically proven to extend release dates by months at minimum. Lol

not sure how many miles you have on it now - if near or above 50K consider replacing:
plugs; serpentine belt; injector seals; add catch can; replace coolant; buy additional blue loctite; replace lower manifold gaskets.

And keep in mind that the blue locktite included with the kit comes in a red tube for some reason. I assumed they had left it out and used my own bottle until the end when I wondered why the instructions never called for the red locktite and I finally read the numbers on the tube.

Cool. My truck has about 14K miles so should be good to go on most of those add-ons you mentioned other than the catch can.

What's most people using for catch can?

Magnuson TVS1900 Supercharger with 87mm pulley, Catted OVTune dumptubes, Doug Thorley 2.5in y-pipe, custom mufflers, 76mm Tundra throttle body, 5.29 Yukon gears, JamesT custom fuel rails, Yotawerx 87mm tune, Eibach Pro Truck Stage 2 suspension. And some other stuff.
This worked for me, $160 on Amazon:
JLT Performance 3.0 Oil Separator 3104D-B Compatible with the 2016-2021 Tacoma 3.5L Black Anodized

The original mounting point will be removed when the SC is installed. Though I just bent the bracket so I could mount it in a different location.

Another thing to remember, 5.29’s add an 83-85 mph speed limiter to the truck based on drive shaft speed. You will need a custom tune to increase the global speed limit on the truck. So if you regear to 5.29 and load the standard locked Maggy tune you will be limited to 85 mph last I heard.

VVVV This one - have it too. Works great.

Won't be a problem for him with the YotaWerx Tune and he won't have to deal with the Maggy dead pedal tune either.

Are there any physical changes we can make to balance fueling between the banks? Or does it not really matter because we’re at the limit of supply?

You could theoretically R&D appropriation and fitment of the Lexus 3.5 TT fuel rails and maybe the dual fuel pumps, though that's not really necessary for the base application we're working with right now, or fab up a cross section to connect the existing rails to better split the fueling, but this would be expensive and I doubt the Lexus parts just bolt up.

Stuff like this, water/meth, or something like Mat/OV's power max TT fueling solutions are likely a mandatory requirement though for anything beyond the 87mm pulley.

It can be done. I did this a while back in preparation for my TT kit, which I’m still waiting on.
