Just got an email from Katzkin today and saw that they are running their 18 month 0% interest promotion now thru 04/22/22.

Again, I don’t personally have experience with Katzkin but just passing along since 0% financing can make a huge difference to those interested. If anyone wants it send a message and I’ll give you the phone number they sent in the email. It’s different than the number on their website for some reason, though I suspect the one on their website will also get you connected to the right folks.

Good on you for seeing it through. I started and just found it nearly impossible to get the socket in and on the nut to unbolt the light. Pulling down the liner as much as I thought you needed to I was dangerously close to creasing it. Just wasn't worth it for me in the end. Looks nice on your truck I wish you luck with it.

Why does it seem so tall? It looks like it blocks half of the back window and sticks 6in above the cab. I like the idea, but it seems like it needs to be brought back down to the rest of the truck.

The useable Space that the flatbed provides over a standard bed is an astonishing amount. they trays themselves have under tray storage boxes as well as a huge rear trundle drawer

They sit above the frame rails as there is no wheel wells in the tray like you have in your standard bed so there has to be room for the wheel to travel up. it also doesn't block that much of the rear window

I installed the Desert Does It seat jackers and multi-mount panel the other day.
It was super easy to install. The quality is really nice, good fit and finish.
Having said all that I don’t think I like it. It doesn’t seem to change the ergonomics of the seat enough to make a difference (the OEM position didn’t bother me for reference), and I haven’t figured out what to attach to it yet.
I’m going to ride a round with it for a few weeks to give it a chance.

Did you just remove the two hooks just like in the video? Some removed the pillars to have more room/ access to the nuts on the light. Thinking of changing mine because it has a crack and I already ordered it online ( aftermarket) before they finally issued a recall for Canadians. I will give it a try and test my patience. :D

Got mine from ShowstoppersUSA. Any of the RAYS approved vendors should be fine but I know they get big truckloads of them every few months.

Two things to keep in mind with the trays, one is tire clearance and the other is the headboard tube typically sits just above the cab so it works with a roof rack. The angle of the pictures make it look taller than it actually is.

Oh I figured the bed itself was that high because of the wheels. I'm mostly looking at the, for lack of a better term at the moment, headboard. I feel like I'd want to chop it off and re-weld it 6 inches lower. What did you end up doing with the original bed?
