So my idiot neighbor backed out of his parking spot without looking and I payed the price. Well an opportunity to get an aftermarket steel bumper just popped up. 48513CAC-7E1C-4B21-9FBF-591ACA12E6DE.jpg79E4C304-B285-4A41-92B4-B7635768C162.jpg

Any side view pics showing the body gap..? As the BA bumper has a nice price but I have seen some not so nice ill fitting installs..I'm just wondering if it was the installation person or product it self that fell short as some pics look like a huge miss fitting gap between the bumper and body..Confusing as I've seen other pics via company advertisements that showed good fitment..Thanks..

I think it looks fine. It took about an hour and a half with the help of my 10 year old daughter. I watched a video on YouTube a few times and went at it.

I swapped the SR5 grille with the chrome trim to the 2021 dark grey TRD grille.(stole it off Craigslist $40) I de-badged the chrome, put in RC neoprene seat covers and other small interior stuff. I’m going to get a small suspension lift and wheels and tires eventually too. My truck is still pretty new so I’m just warming up

    Man!

That sucks...but the steel bumper looks great!

For practical/preventative reasons, that would be a necessary purchase (in my mind).

thanks. I was gonna swap to a steel bumper eventually, this just sped up the process. The collision was such a low speed and that shitty plastic bumper exploded.

Thank you the reply..yes it looks great..the gap is a non issue for sure..perhaps some people have pulled it as far back as possible during the installation process..I'm not sure..as their installed bumper looked like it didn't belong on it..

I forget if this is guy is from "Twin Peaks" or "Blue Velvet".

    Both movies are bizarre.

the YouTube video from extreme terrain is what I watched probably 15 times before I did the swap. It was not hard at all.

It sticks out further and hangs lower than the stock bumper?
